From the videos I’ve seen so far. These are stunning cards but not so amazingly rare. 2-4 per box makes them less rare then Rainbow rares. Pretty much like pulling a standard V card…

I believe this is the best set we’ve had since Cosmic Eclipse. I can’t wait to open some myself. From top to bottom there are so many collectable species and the prerelease promos are probably the best set of any since Evolutions.

What is the expected going rate for these? Have heard an insanely large gap between some #s

Jeez… I saw some webshops in my country are preselling the booster boxes for 170 euros (~200 USD) and they’re already sold out before the set is even released.

Oh, and for the record, I hate modern sets like these where they print four Ultra/Secret/Hyper Rares of a single PokƩmon. The Team Up set had four Pikachu & Zekrom GX cards as well as four Gengar & Mimikyu GX cards. At that time I immediately decided to stop collecting Mimikyu. I currently have the final Pikachu & Zekrom GX card incoming (a Jumbo from South Korea), and now it starts all over again with this set, sigh. :sob:

Ah well, on the bright side, they do look amazing when you have all of them in the binders side-by-side.

Cardmarket has them for ~110. I’ll probably get my boxes from there as well.

That’s crazy!! Can still get multiple boxes in the UK below RRP.

If anyone needs some gimme a shout!

What are the RRP prices in the UK? Here in my country retail seems to be around 120 euros on average apparently (if I can find them at all), which is still way higher than the ones in the US I’d imagine.

@quuador Chaos Cards still have booster cases in stock for Ā£588, I’m not sure if you’re looking for this many but they do ship internationally! www.chaoscards.co.uk/prod/booster-cases-pokemon/pokemon-booster-case-6-sealed-booster-boxes-sword-and-shield-vivid-voltage

Mind you that’s not really any different to the RRP in the Netherlands I guess, plus factoring in shipping costs…

@professorstephen Ouch! Those Staff prerelease promo sets are currently listed between 1 and Ā£2k. Bids currently on one set at Ā£620, still going… demand is clearly through the roof.

US collector here. Not really into collecting the newer stuff but love the artwork and have thought about getting into the hunting/grading of the newer stuff. I know there’s a lot available on cardmarket, but are there other avenues to obtain cards that don’t require such a hassle since I’m international? Would like to get my hands on EU exclusive sets if we’re on the topic…

Shining cards from shining legends are more common than a rainbow rare but I’d take them over a RR any day

@krill I understand not everyone likes them. That’s fine. What I’m getting at is rarity. I like collecting cards that are hard to pull from packs. Rainbow Rares and Gold Cards have been the hardest to pull from modern. Then again it seems like every set varies.

Like I said these amazing rares are stunning! I’m not questioning that. I’d like for the Pokemon company to make more of them in upcoming sets. But they are so damn easy to pull. Almost like bulk. Seems like two boxes will get you all six. I’ll probably collect them anyways because I collect what I like. But my point was it’s kind of contradictory for Pokemon to call them Amazing Rares yet make them so common.

So Derium opened 1k packs, it’s a little nice sample to have some early semi accurate impressions. He got 3 HR thicc pikachu , 10 thicc pikachu vmax, and 4 pikachu V FA. These seem pretty hard to pull, also been checking collectpokemon opening several cases and he hasnt scored a single HR thicc pikachu.

It’s always 36x the RRP of a booster pack which is Ā£3.99 - Ā£143 roughly haha.

Multiple stores still have stock available, my boxes work out at £99.85 shipped to UK buyers
