Does anyone have a clue about the value of Japanese base non-holo cards? From what I found so far they seem to be worth 0.50 dollar/euro each and in PSA 10 they seem to be going for $30-35 and also actually getting sold.
This is significantly higher than unlimited English base set, is this correct and if so why would it be the case? And do they cost about the same on Yahoo Japan?
That’s very odd indeed, the holos are usually significantly cheaper… We’re almost talking 1st ed pricing here. I would not value these at more than $10-15 so your guess is as good as mine.
A PSA 10 for 10.00? That would be a first.
You would be surprised, Gary. The only other card that I’ve seen other than the ones OP mentioned that are all from the same and only seller on ebay, is a PSA 10 Japanese Base Charmander sold at auction for $12.
I value my time and I’m sure you value yours so I wouldn’t sell any 10s for $10, but we’re talking cards that are worth less than $1 here… $10 PSA 10 cards are not that uncommon especially on newer sets.
Perhaps a fair price is closer to the $20 range, but $35 is crazy… that’s english 1st ed right there. You can probably have a case full of Japanese Base for a few pennies a piece.
True but who would grade them, get 10s, then sell for 10.00?
Of course auctions are a different story cause they could sell for .99 which would indicate nothing.
