That’s the first time I’ve seen sealed stuff but if the market softens I’d think more people sell some stuff. Issue is having a middleman service to bid.

Yeah I’m screwed with that. I’ll never be able to buy anything from a Chinese site.et alone find a middleman to get it shipped to me

Have you noticed an increased quantity of CGC cards in these China sales? And if so, any insight on how have they compared relative to PSA?

The rate of sales are FAR less. Probably 50/1 in terms of 10s, likely more. In the groups I’m apart of they still view CGC Pristine 10 as higher than PSA 10, but from what I’ve seen they list them for more and auctions command less. This is very anecdotal and I don’t pay close attention. I’ll make an effort to pay closer attention over the coming weeks and let you know the results. At most I’ll see 1-2 CGC sales a day over two platforms though so probably not a good sample size.

As an aside, the biggest auction house over here has partnerships with CGC, PSA and BGS. The only promos I ever see them post are for PSA submissions though.

Sorry mate, will add some, hopefully, clearer pictures. I’m probably not the best judge, wouldn’t say bad but would be hard pressed to crossover to a PSA 10. I could be wrong.

This is very insightful that there’s this perception in China. Of the handful of more serious Chinese collectors I have interacted with, they would not touch cards graded by CGC. Yes, please keep us posted if you notice any other changes in the coming weeks! The biggest indicator would be if the auction prices of the CGCs approach PSA prices.

Some of the bigger items in tonight’s auction block. Don’t know much about DBZ or OP but the deposit required to bid is higher than normal by a fair bit so assume they’ll fetch decent prices.

It is. It’s not easy to find much English stuff over here. Japanese is far and away the preference.
