So how long until we format a proper top 20 for each of the categories? I’d imagine it’d be easy to just do it now, then if anyone has any sales or cards to add, the lists could be updated on the fly.
Part of me thinks it’d be cool for the lists to get their own dedicated webpage so it can look all nice and be more easily accessible to the general internet (to help solve the original issue of all these copy paste articles getting everything wrong), but at the same time, I doubt E4 would want to emphasize dollar amounts so strongly.

Why is the PSA 10 Illustrator not included?
It doesn’t change the position obviously. In the finalized version we can enumerate every sale. Here I just wanted to capture a rough range of the card in any condition, the ones that specify [PSA 10] are specific to that grade.

Awesome job, @pfm! It would be neat to see this list recreated for booster boxes, uncut sheets, notable errors, etc. However, I can see how this would become unruly and would lead to a ledger of the most expensive sales in Pokemon.
Here are my thoughts I had while making the list:

It will be easiest to start with the list of concrete “highest sales ever” which are tied to a specific sales event. That order cannot be disputed. It also doesn’t require any rough estimations of price or have to deal with cards with no price data

I think the list should go to top 50 or even top 100, those lower cards will be a lot easier since they will have more sales data

it might be beneficial to aggregate related cards like I have with the 2014-2022 trophies and TMB trophies

this list will have to be modified over time as new data comes in

Overall its a good list! There are private sales that are higher than some of these numbers, but I don’t know if the people involved want them disclosed. And I agree its tough to add cards that would clearly be on the list, like the 2001 tropical wind, or any other Pop 1 trophy cards that may never sell.

I think we should try to include sale date whenever possible too because inflation and time period make some sales more significant than others 
How come 1st Ed Charizard is priced so low? It’s not going for the record amount anymore but pwcc last sold was still just a little under $200000. Is it highest ever sold list? Topsun Charizard psa 10 I thought went for just under half a million dollars.

Psa 10 shadowless charizard I remem went for $66000 last sold because a cgc pristine 10 was being sold recently and we talked on here about it it went for a little bit under the $66000.
