Uploading image for first time so hopefully it works.
Rest of the card falls within the PSA 9 parameters but I didn’t expect this much silvering/chipping to be allowed. I only have one other psa 9 1 ed base holo to compare it to but even my 8’s and 7’s dont have this much, although they have other flaws.
Just curious as to what peoples thoughts/experiences are, with similar imperfections. considering returning the card but dont want to be too hasty.
Can’t see the image, but if anything take it up with PSA and not the seller. Don’t become one of those people who argue with the seller on a 3rd party grade.
I have already completed a junle set and a lot of them aren’t as bad as this. but I expected it with junle, fossil etc but not 1st ed base when I thought the cutting blades were suppose to be new.
Silvering is often not greatly considered except as a tiebreaker.
My concern is, you bought a PSA 9 and got a PSA 9 so why return it? If youre sure it’s misgraded then PSA will correct it.
Returning a psa graded card when buyer disagree about the grade is no no.
It is graded for a reason to have a 3rd party idea about the condition, If you don’t agree that card fits on psa9 stantards send it to PSA, not to seller.
I’m definitely not sure it’s misgraded, that’s why I thought I’d post here first to get people’s opinions. I sppreciste all the responses as I’ve learnt this amount of silvering is widely accepted as a psa 9, so I wont be returning it.
I hate silvering, not sure why but it bothers me. I find it less appealing than other aspects that would drop a cards grade such as centering or edgewear on the back.
