The PWCC Megathread

I accidentally bid (and won) on something mislabeled and they removed it from my order after contacting them.

For incorrectly labeled cards once it’s caught I have seen them relist the card but amend the listing title and description to the actual card.

Interesting. It’s just odd because that unlimited Japanese crystal charizard is worth more than the 1st Ed, at least based on the lower pop.

Curious, how does PWCC calculate insurance for a card?

I bought a card on 2023-06-11 and paid about $130 incl buyers premium, and the insured value for the card shows “$15 as of 2023-05-10”. I don’t see any previous sales on pwcc for this card. There are sales on eBay but none that sold for $15

From my understanding, PWCC bases the insurance off of their own auctions and fixed price sales. A lot of the estimates are incorrect.

You can change the insurance value:

  • Select the card
  • Click on Actions
  • Click on Edit Owner Value.

Great thank you! I generally assumed it was based off last sale prices, but this one really stumped me. It seems almost like a random value was assigned

Sometimes random numbers are assigned, especially for cards that almost never sell or have a low population.

Is there any process to go from PWCC vault to grading, eg their raw cards straight to cgc and also the reholder from vault to CGC?

I asked them this about reslabbing:

Quick question: can I submit already graded CGC cards from my vault direct to CGC to be reslabbed with their new label? And then have the recased slabs be returned direct back to my vault

It took a while to get a response, but this was it:

I am just following up with you from this chat. We would not be able to do that through our grading partnership, however PWCC will gladly ship items from your Vault directly to a grading company. Please follow these steps to complete this process: Select the item(s) you would like to have graded from your Vault.
Create a fulfillment request and make the mailing address the address for the grading company.
In the notes field, indicate your intended grading company, level of service, and any relevant notes specific to grading. After you create the fulfillment, we will mail your item(s) and notify you when they return from the grading company. If you are using PSA, please complete the PSA grading form and email it to us at cs@pwccmarketplace.com as a printable PDF before completing your order. We will include the form with your shipment.

For raw card grading, I believe they have a partnership with cgc to do that

I was watching that too. There was a Hitmonlee with that error as well.

There were actually three and I bought them. :eyes:

Lol good to know who I’m bidding against in this upcoming auction, I’m sure you found the treasure already. I will put up a fight for one in particular! Haha well bought. I missed seeing the Zapdos and Hypno.

Which one is that? If you let me know, I’ll abstain from bidding if I already own a copy.

I’m trying to put together a full Fossil 1st Ed PSA 9 No Shimmer/No Sparkle set and any Base/Jungle that I can find in reasonable condition. That said, I do tend to buy duplicates when I see them (because I think they’re so neat), but I should look into selling those in the future.

Has anyone attempted request payout recently. I sold my first small item and a payout is available but the payout site has been under maintenance for a few days now. I contacted PWCC about it.

On day 8 of waiting for vault shipment. I guess we are back to doing that now. Shameful

I just did it a few days ago, posted to my bank today

I shipped a card from my vault from a sale on ebay, they shipped in 5 days. I have another 7 cards I’m shipping back to myself and it’s day 4 so far. I do miss when it was about 2 days maximum.

Side note, I wish the fixed price marketplace had a little more transparency like ebay. I would like to see how many people viewed the card, potential denied offers even if they were much lower than the set auto decline amount… I get the feeling that you list a card and it sits in the abyss for eternity.

Mine took about 10 days to process but they did overnight shipment so it arrived one day after that. I think it depends on how much stuff you’re pulling out

I’m on Day 5. We’ll see if they’re slowing down again. :person_shrugging:
