So I noticed there are a couple japanese champion road cards listed on PWCC, but I think they are mislabelled and actually the WHF versions.
The REAL champion road cards have the gold star symbol and I do not see that. Can someone confirm? Stinks because I actually would love to buy the cards too, but not if they are not the real deal. It’s sad that CGC can miss the very obvious difference between the variants. www.pwccmarketplace.com/weekly-auction?q=pokemon+champion+road
I let PWCC know about the cards and got this response…
Hi Joseph,
Thanks for reaching out about this. We will reach out to our Asset Expert team for confirmation. Should they find that these cards are mislabeled by CGC we will update the titles accordingly. However, based on preliminary research based on other graded examples of this set I feel like they are very likely correctly labeled, and the listings will remain the same. Our expert team will do research as well and make a final determination.

I told them that I was 100% certain is was mislabelled and they should definitely check with their asset team before someone purchases the cards. Hopefully they figure it out.
Quick question. So if I happen to win these two auctions. I won’t have enough cash to cover both. But I can also use the vault loan but there’s not enough of that to cover both.
Anyways can I use half or more in cash and the rest as a vault loan?
I wonder what their thresholds are for “margin calls”. Like how many missed payments / how much value drop to the collateral is required before they start liquidating your vault? I’d imagine by now with the massive price drops it would have happened to at least 1 person.
When I spoke to them in February 2021 about their promissory notes, Betsy sent me documents that said to that point they had not had a single default since 2007. That could have certainly changed given the market climate change this year but they also lend at a 40% LTV so a lot of room there as well. Would be interesting to know
I also looked into the notes when they were 9% or whatever it was, but didn’t end up buying them. I similarly saw that no defaults had happened and was surprised at the time. I’d be fairly surprised if that were still the case but who knows. I bonds out here looking even better but with pretty low limits.
“Participating in an upcoming Weekly Sunday Auction couldn’t be easier, and for Vaulted items, it’s only a few button clicks away. Items will be carefully curated into a future event, appearing LIVE to the public within 20 business days. Sellers can monitor the auction from their My Marketplaces section of the members portal and seller commissions are paid 2-3 weeks later. Free cash advances are always available against auction items up until the time of payout.”
They supposedly have an “algorithm” that optimizes when to send them but I clicked send to auction on duplicated items once to test it and they all went the same week lol.
Yeah @gemmintpokemon that is 100% the way to go and thankfully I just did it on some sacrificial stuff that I wanted to test with.
@kemost wait until you find out that it can be ~3 more weeks after it sells to get payment and that is if it gets paid. That is fast when compared to Heritage or Goldin on both fronts the payment end and listing end from what I gather though I’ve not yet sold through either of those. Payment end could be quicker listing end is almost certainly >3 weeks.
If it’s at least a few thousand dollars and skynet misses it, I put in a manual request to move them around, unless it’s something like plasma storm charizard where like 5 people submitted for the same week and it’s not feasible to spread them all out. Also, in some instances the sellers try to refuse letting us move them around for different reasons. If any time you’re selling something and see there’s multiple copies of something going live that same week just put it in the request tab for your listing to have it moved and customer service can juggle it around for you with no fuss. Worst case scenario ping me and I can try and help.
