I was considering a number of the 6-8 grade range 1st edition jungle/fossil holos that went really cheap to crack for my binder. In the end I just opted for the PSA 9 2006 World Championship Tropical Wave in French! Great artwork and will be a nice addition to my small slab collection

I went for the EX Sandstorm Reverse Umbreon and got outbid last second. Thought $1277 would be enough, but someone else snagged it. Will be looking for the Holo Japanese version since I doubt another will pop up anytime soon.

Not gonna lie, I saw “PSA 9 2006 World Championship” & thought for a second that you were the winner of the Trophy Pikachu from last night then I saw “Tropical wave”. Still a great card though, congratulations!

If a buyer manages to somehow scam PWCC and the card is lost, do I get burnt of does PWCC?

What part do you disagree with? Jonandeks explanation is actually spot on at explaining why the card ended at the price it did.

I disagree with the part where the explanation and prediction are so disconnected, that we rationalize it with all this market language to obscure the fact that maybe, just maybe, we don’t know what we’re talking about.

The community really likes to diminish its inaccuracies by using fancy language to obscure the painfully obvious truth, we may be letting emotion and hype get in the way of reasoning.

Just like with Protostoise

it sounds to me like you’re the one letting emotion get in the way of reasoning - jonandeks post had solid reasoning, either you don’t understand the words (‘market language’) or you do and you are letting your emotion cloud your judgement.

Got a grail of mine for a good price. Went for less than 50% of the psa “10” that had a scuffed corner (albeit slightly better centering). Just hope the holo is clean when I get it in hand.

People seriously need to get a reality check if 375k for a PSA 7 is somehow low. It’s literally the first Psa 7 illustrator ever sold. Could it have earned more in a better format or being patient, sure. But that’s the risk of an auction, especially on ebay. Regardless, Find me a Psa 7 of anything pokemon that comes even close.

Quite a few WoTC cards were weaker than many were expecting. Interesting to see how next month plays out. I also heard some very high guesses for the illustrator 7 and it didn’t even come close…
