Now the question is did this card get the Kurt treatment and then it fell apart after getting slabbed? Or was it always just shitty and Cgc grader needs glasses lol
I know the person who bought it and they mentioned that the seller clarified that they arenât âthatâ Kurt
I would honestly consider changing ebay names if that was mine. Very unfortunate
Every Facebook group is chock full of people trying to sell or buy these in massive bulk right now. A week ago nobody cared. This is such a clown show.
People who spend tens of thousand of dollars on rare labels (e.g., BGS Black Label, CGC Pristine, low pop PSA 10s) often donât care much about the condition, as the main chase is the artificially scarce grade. That said, I feel really bad for them if they didnât take a closer look.
Luckily, CGC has a grade guarantee that the new owner could initiate.
Guarantee Conditions and Limitations
An owner of a CGC-certified Collectible (âOwnerâ) who believes that
- the Collectible (other than a print, sketch, or photograph) is not genuine (unless stated otherwise on the CGC label);
- the designated witnessed signature on a Collectible is not genuine; or
- the CGC-certified card is overgraded;
shall submit it for evaluation under CGCâs free âAppearance Reviewâ service.
The only TCG product in stock on the PokĂ©mon Center is a product that has been featured in bundles with promos and still they canât get rid of. Disgusting
Couple weeks later and that absurd sale price did not hold at all (was it even a real sale?).
I get the feeling this wonât be the last of these huge crashes we see this year.
Thereâs people openly shill bidding and bragging about it. Whatâs even more alarming is the amount of people supporting these individuals and saying shill bidding is perfectly fine.
Not speaking about this gengar specifically, but moreso about the market in general.
I find the comments in the ads for card restoration products so appalling. Everyone just asking how many cards does it do, instead of questioning why do it.
There are way too many bad people out there.
People being ok with shill bidding and scalping shows this isnât healthy and sustainable
dang gotta get harada to only sign gengars now huh ![]()
When people at shows ask âwhy donât I get it restored and regrade itâ for some of my more expensive cards and they donât understand Iâm not interested in doing that at all.
today 4 July 2025: a couple ex team rocket returns PSA 10s ended
PSA 10 ROCKETâS MEWTWO EX - cert 28184895 - $8200
-
Interestingly this was the same cert# that ended for 7550 on Z&G in may,

-
Appears to be an ATH, beating the prices in early April during peak Destined Rivals hype.
PSA 10 ROCKETâS HITMONCHAN EX - cert 73754240 - $2250
- held its price since the DR hype.
Even that 275 feels high tbh lol
seems wild for a card that struggled to break 2k ![]()
This market is so messed up. I wanted a 2024 World Championship deck card (Penny) and there was only one seller of it worldwide for close to $20. The deck of 60 cards is $20 MSRP.
So I paid $12 for a sealed deck on ebay, took the Penny card out for my collection, and listed the other 59 cards on TCGPlayer for $1-$4 each depending on quantity. Somehow I already made my money back after shipping and fees on selling just 10 of the cards. The fact that you could buy the deck, keep 1 of each card, and sell the doubles and still make a profit is insane.
buy the one with the gold star mew in it grade it 10 then sell for 2k ![]()
Sold for 5160 in April, 2024. Since this was already an expensive card curious how high it will go
This hasnât sold this year yet from what I can see
Feel bad for whoever buys this one
Also, with Latias/Latios consistently breaking 7k now, Iâm surprised that more of the ppl who own the pop 2000 PSA 10 arenât selling
Whatâs a few hundred scratches amongst friends

Didnt expect the legit boomers (50+) to start buying cards
