Got these two super express grades back this week and both got what I expected. Just threw the LC Zard in there for fun, and I’m super happy with the shining Zard!

Hopefully it’s realistic these might be done by end of November. If they are returned by Christmas I’ll consider myself fortunate all things considered–which may include another tier or two opening up soon.

Super happy with these, they sat at my parents house for almost a decade, finally got my hands on them earlier this year. Thought the Alakazam had a shot at a 10 but no lower than 9, the edgewear on the back was just a little too bad. The Celebi has bad top/bottom centering, worse edgewear on the back than the Alakazam, and I had to clean some dirt off the art before I sent it in. I expected as low as a 5-6, very happy to get the 8.

After more than a year of waiting, it looks like my PSA returns are finally about to come home. I selected Authenticate Card/Grade Autograph for these cards that I personally had signed at the world championships in 2004 and 2005. Their authenticity (as far as I’m concerned) is unquestionable.
However, it appears that PSA is no longer authenticating/grading Ken Sugimori Signatures. This is a huge bummer because I really wanted my Dragonite line to be sequential, but now only the dragonair and dark dragonite are encapsulated. Has anyone ever had luck getting a signature slabbed that they initially rejected? I also feel like I got “charizard taxed” because to my eyes the Venusaur and Charizard signatures are identical in condition .

Got a June 2020 bulk sub back from PSA today! Was mostly duplicate holos of cards I already had complete set of. Here are my PSA 10 highlights. Power Keepers are from a whole extra binder set I had purchased a while back, but everything else I pulled myself as a kid so I’m proud to have preserved well! Unseen Forces was the first booster box I ever opened and after that I think I wasn’t able to afford opening another box until Platinum.

Was going to share my results from a February Regular sub, but it went missing in the mail 
no tracking update since the 14th, so I’m able to start the insurance process with PSA tomorrow. Wouldn’t be surprised if a USPS employee simply just took the package cause it never even left Cali. Very sad and frustrating as the whole sub was worth around the 5 figure range. Any experience with the insurance through PSA? I’m not very optimistic…

Finally a PSA return! I just received 10 cards I submitted in Nov/Dec 2020 (Ludkins Economy):
1x Lucky Stadium (WOTC #41) - PSA 9
2x Pokemon Center (WOTC #40) - Both got PSA 9
6x Evolutions Charizard Holos - 5 PSA 9 and 1 PSA 8
1x Base Set Charizard (Unlimited) - PSA 4 (Childhood 'zard)
My next return will be a lot bigger (~200 cards) submitted in Nov 2020 at value tier. Hopefully I’ll get that back before the 1-year mark.

With PSA closed, I decided to work on some fun personal collection, CGC goals. First was to grade my mint complete set of Japanese Dragon Selection, which I think look amazing with the CGC labels rather than the PSA labels.
My other CGC project is complete set of English B&W Team Plasma Full Arts which are still at CGC. They will also look sick with the blue CGC label.
But take a look at these! When I get the other Dragon Selection back, I’m hoping and pretty confident that all are 9+ and I’m really hoping for a 10 to be sprinkled in (:
Fun fact: Dragon Selection was the first time Dragon Pokemon cards were released!

I’m also helping my childhood friend get his cards graded. We played in leagues every weekend during this early ex era so I have so many memories associated with these cards.
I remember when EX Deoxys came out and people were opening booster boxes at league… He went around trying to trade for everyone’s box topper Raikou ex to make a deck out of them. They graded pretty well even after being played (:
