They keep dropping the price and I keep getting returns back in the same amount of time. I think they’ll keep dropping.
They keep sending me offers between $50-100 off a grading submission. So far I haven’t bitten, mainly because there are other things I would rather spend the money on at the moment. I think we could see further price drops. $10/card might be the right price point to bring a lot of people back in.
Also, the economics of grading have changed a lot since PSA raised their prices, they will have to adjust to that at some point

I think they’ll go lower. TAT are still hovering around 50% of their Estimated TAT, which is screaming to me that they aren’t getting the volume they’ve hoped for from these small specials. There’s been a TCG special almost every month since June and subs are still coming back in a month or so
I had to write “Authentic only” in big sharpie on the invoice I sent last time I wanted a sports card as authentic. That was over a year ago so don’t know if the process is any different

Tbh, 16,000 of the 17,000 graded by PSA are 9 or 10 so chances are pretty damn good!

The cert only had three '4’s so they added one more just so you would get four '4’s

Here’s one I recently cracked for the binder:
Those are images from the listing. What I found was a crease along the bottom middle on the front and there was a dent next to the retreat cost. I imagine this combo reflects the grade and maybe it’s a similar story with yours. Still looks great in a binder!

I recently had a Base Machamp that I pregraded a 9 get a 4. With how little time graders spend on each card, sometimes they think they see something that isn’t actually there.
I cracked and regraded it, should be getting the new grade any day now.
Welp, I officially had my worst PSA order. Lack of consistency on grading standards, low overall grades, and slowest turnaround time that I’ve had in over a year.
The past 3-4 months of submissions have steadily been getting worse and worse in my experience. Like I get it, we agree to the bullshit, but I’m getting tired of this. Gonna resubmit a huge part of this order and see what happens…
On the bright side, this was a nice diamond in the rough:
