As a counter-example, I just found this. PSA 10 with a massive print line down the middle of the card. I’m going to submit my dragonite for grading sometime in the future and hope for the best.

Came here all excited about my order hitting QA2, didn’t realize we all get to celebrate 
Funny thing is I have another 20 card order that arrived 1 week later and is still in Grading (same with other orders sent in July). Feeling rewarded for sending this one in right at the start.

My bulk send early march 2021, submission was made on the last day this was possible (28 feb 2021) now moved to Q2 check.
Had 3 middleman orders (wasn’t worth it to save $1 a card at this point) out for late Febuary. Only received 1 back so far.

your bulk july order is already grading?! i regret not sending it earlier… i only decided to at the last minute. it’s only been about two weeks, but my order is still only at arrived. so, if it’s gonna take that long for every step of the way (and there’s like 10 different stages), i’ll be seeing my cards next year lol
I have a July Special (20 cards) that arrived on 7-13 and is in Grading and I have one (60 cards) that arrived on 7-23 and is on Research. My Value orders from June and July are all in Grading or further.

I recently made my first submission for the july special and was curious to know if someone could explain how the upcharges work? I submitted a jap gold star zard in that tier which is clearly within the $200 range 
and was wondering how much of an upcharge I can expect? Do I just pay $100-ish more to be bumped into the express tier? Any help would be appreciated 
Once PSA grades the cards and they hit ~QA2 you will receive an email showing which cards are being upcharged and what their grade is. PSA has their own assessment of value, usually based on the APR or SMR on their site. You’ll be charged for the tier that corresponds to that value. You can negotiate if needed, but generally I’ve found they are fairly accurate. The only real downside is they ship the cards back under the insured value you declared originally and it’s a slower processing time than if you would have paid for the higher level.

Okay that makes sense. Initially I was a little worried because I heard people being charged $1000 for their cards so I didnt want to be in the same boat. & yeah I did submit it knowing that it was going to be on a long journey on the S.S Anne. Appreciate the insight!

Well If it gets a 10, then you might be charged $1,000 to get it back
