Ive sent lots of stuff and have not seen a tracker. Though i used the pen and paper form, not using that online form for now. The old online form was so much better so ill wait for updates
Has anyone recently sent in any old back corocoro promos to PSA?
I watched @smpratte 's video about the possible changing of the grading due to the lip around the edges.
Iāve got 5 unpeeled corocoro marills and just wondering if itās best to send to CGC (or even BGSā¦?) instead to avoid the possible auto 6. Just wondering if anyoneās had some recent luck.
Thank you!
Iāve had a couple batches come back recently, and gotten a handful of 9s and 10s, so I think if they are dinging the lip it just depends on the grader.
Is that a Patreon video? Iād be interested in that.
No it was a public video, if I can find it Iāll link it back here
Thatās great to know - thank you!!
And @stagecoach this is the video: Pokemon PSA Return: Grading Standards Changed - More Strict - PSA 10 Gold Stars - YouTube
The Corocoro bits starts at 7:00
Thanks so much. I hadnāt seen this one and itās so old I probably wouldnāt have.
Hi All,
Long awaited update on this Karenās Umbreon. After 10 weeks in CRC, PSA finally made a decision. They took ownership of their mistake and have regraded the card to a NM 7. In addition to sending me the PSA 7 in its new case, they will be cutting a check for $400. Overall, I think this is a reasonable conclusion and I was pleased with their CRC support. 10/10 would submit a PSA Grade Guarantee again.
what did you pay for the card? If you donāt mind of course
After taxes and shipping: $702.99. So if I were to sell the PSA 7, I would probably break even.
Oh wow, this is the first time Iāve come across a positive experience with PSAās Grade Guarantee. Thanks for sharing!
EDIT: Got 2 responses from PSA that you can see below:
This summer has been really busy for me and during PSAās $18 special I made the mistake of entering some card quantities that I assumed I had PSA 10-worthy copies of lying around for modern Japanese cards. I had pre-graded most of them and soon Iāll be shipping out the submission (Iāve been busy). But some of the modern Japanese cards I hadnāt pre-graded yet have issues and now I realize I shouldnāt have added them to the submission.
So the question is, PSA allows you to edit a submission before you ship it but what exactly are the limits of that if you want to reduce the quantity of a card for a sub-special that ended a few weeks ago? If I click that edit button and reduce some of the quantities, is it going to automatically change all my $18 cards to $30?
Thanks a ton.
I have never actually done this, but I would be pretty surprised if it reverted it to $30. If you completed the order, youāve already agreed to a tier and price per card and put in your credit card info. As far as PSA is concerned, your submission is complete and theyāre expecting it within 30 days of completion. I canāt imagine removing cards from that would change anything.
Appreciate the input.
If anyone has further knowledge about this please let me know. If it does change my cards to $30 or removes them from the sub entirely Iām going to feel awful. I really donāt want to do anything without more information. Right now, worst-case I get a few 9s instead of 10s. But if I can safely remove them from the sub thatās ideal for sure.
It sounds like your order hasnāt actually been completed if you can still edit it? From memory, I believe they used to require the package to be postdated within the special timeframe. Are you sure if any of your cards qualify anymore?
Hereās what I see.
That warning message is pretty intimidating, so if nobody has a firm answer Iāll probably bite the bullet (sending all the cards) and learn from this mistake.
It reads as if you will definitely not get the special if you make changes. A lot of how psa operates has changed in the last 2 years so itās tough to say anything conclusive unless someone has very recent experience with the same issue
If I was in this situation, I would cancel my entire order. Wait until the next special that pops up, and send in your best cards then. You will have plenty of time to pre-grade all your cards.
@pfm Thatās my feeling as well, not worth the risk. My recent e-mail to them (about something else) took 16 days for a reply, so I canāt wait for another. All well.
@eeveeteam The majority of the cards are pre-graded and worth sending. I just made the mistake of adding a few thinking that since theyāre modern Japanese I should be able to find a few 10s. Itās my fault, next time Iāll get it all done ahead of time.
Didnāt realize it gave you that warning, I knew you could edit submissions after completing them but I didnāt realize it would make a new one. I agree with pfm, based off that wording you most likely would not keep the special price.
