The Giant Professional Grading Thread

It sucks, but you’re not alone. I have cards still off that I sent in December 2020. Ludkins can’t do anything and neither will PSA, you just have to wait.

As others have said, a lot of us in the same boat. Thankfully my Nov 2020 subs are in QA2, so others shouldn’t be far behind at all

Not allways, but usualy. PSA have a statement that it does not allway end up in that order.

I have had 1 time that they change the order

When PSA now have open for Value grading for 30$ and they stated that these cards will be sent back first when value-backlog is finished and around earlie fall, does this “value” include Ludking/Graded Gem and other, or bulk shipped directly to PSA?

Is it hope now that PSA will finish backlog next 2-3 months?

Middlemen are a separate tier not shown in the completed through date list. We have no idea when they will finish the backlog but based off anecdotal evidence they are finishing up bulk tier submissions around Nov 2020-Jan 2021 time frame right now

are cgc middleman submissions lower priority like they are at psa?

They have been saying on their podcast for a while now that the goal is end of August to get rid of the backlog. Not sure how that’s going to be possible given that September and October 2020 people are still waiting for their middlemen orders but crazier things have happened.

Not sure how PSA/a UK middleman can advertise their value submission as having an estimated turnaround time of 120 days

My UK middleman October 2020 sub has just reached assembly and February 2021 is still in grading

Out of curiosity, how long is the wait for Ludkins “returns incoming” e-mails after their orders were marked “shipped” in the Ludkins tracker?

My cards were shipped from PSA on May 18. It’s been three weeks and still nothing from Ludkins. My guess is that they are just really backed up with orders, but is anyone else in the same boat?

Middleman submissions are the lowest possible priority for PSA and just gap-fillers, treated differently (read: worse) than direct-to-PSA bulk submissions, which ensures middlemen services can pass on discounted pricing. Assuming you’re going via Ludkins UK, Im guessing you’ll have also seen the Feb 21 submissions progress sheet hasn’t changed since March :joy: I’ve got 100 cards in that submission I’m getting pretty itchy about! Harumph

My personal, anecdotal evidence is yes, they are. CGC was loudly touting a 60 day turnaround time at the same time that I had 2 middleman orders outstanding at CGC for 10ish months.

I’m in the same boat. I didn’t expect to hear nothing from Ludkins 3 weeks after they “shipped” from PSA. I wrote to them Monday to see if this was normal and how long to expect to wait after they were marked as “shipped” but no reply yet. I’m more nervous my package is just lost more than anything else lol

I’ve had this happen with Ludkins before, they’re probably just really swamped right now. A CGC order with Ludkins was marked shipped in Jan and I didn’t get an email until March. Don’t worry, your package is unlikely to be lost.

hypothetically I have a extremely rare card (less than 400 copies exist), PSA has not grade it yet ( I know he can grade it) and there is not sales data about it. Will PSA upcharge me?

Apologies for being this guy, but has anyone submitted at PSA’s regular or express levels recently that can share the actual turnaround time? I submitted a few subs of regular when the service returned earlier this year and they all came back to me in 2 weeks or less. Is this still the case or is the wait time much longer now as the website says? Just trying to determine what to do for regular vs express. Thanks

kinda confusing question. and depends on the card

Hey all, have heard PSA are being much tougher now on giving qualifier grades eg OC, ST etc.

I have a PSA 10 quality shadowless gyarados that I pulled from a theme deck, but ofc has the infamous glue stain on it from the factory packaging.

I’ve seen one card get the ST qualifier that was a PSA 5xxxx cert - but have been told that this is no longer being handed out.

Not a 10 card with the glue I know, but I still plan to submit it with a not regarding the card to the grader, just wondering if anyone has had a qualifier as of late.
TIA

Anecdotally, Express is around 2 weeks from what ive heard. Regular around 30 working days.

BGS also touting 30 days for standard, my recent sub was around 2 months.
