Anybody know what these are? Vintage Japanese… with holes? Maybe a board game card?
Hi Guys–wondering what your thoughts are on this thread about a mystery gold item that I posted last year. I would ideally provide an explanation of the very helpful possibilities presented amongst the responders, but there is too much to copy+paste. Easier to let you check this out! Let’s have a fun conversation, for all I know it is just a random custom piece…
Hello,
I would like to make my contribution.
I have the complete collection of advanced action cards, of which I share a link and some photos with you:
I’m working on adding all the photos of the set to bulbapedia.
Here’s the complete set :
I also have other French and Italian lenticular cards, distributed in Kellogg’s cereal packets. There are 3 series in France, one of 10 cards, one of 20 cards subdivided into 2 (14+6), and one of 8 johtos cards.
The Italian series is made up of 10 cards.
Here’s the sets (I’m missing some of the second series)
I’m taking this opportunity to share my Dunkin boomer series 1 cards, which I believe are not on this page :
I also have two sets of playing cards which I think are quite pretty, I’ll share all of that with you!
Welcome to the forums @KamiPein and really awesome contribution as your very first post. Really great to see you complete collection of cards which really helps catalog it for many collectors. Curious to know more about you and what other things you collect.
Thanks again for sharing.
Cheers!
Here’s a few from my collection, apologies if these have been posted already!
Bandai Carddass Slide-Up Card
These are so cool. Each card is a surprise until you slide it up, then it reveals what Pokemon is inside. They stand up on their own.
Karuta Cards
I don’t know much about the gameplay here, but these two cards match up. On the Slowking card it says ひ which is the Hiragana character that begins the sentence on the other card. The sentence translates to “Slowking who understands human language”
Pokemon Scrap Card
I believe these came from the Japanese Primal Clash sets and could be redeemed for virtual points and benefits.
Meiji Lenticular Cards
Whoa, 3D slowpoke!
Hey I was curious if you knew about this pikachu action flipz premier edition promo card. Ive never really been able to find any info on it. It looks just like the normal set card but it has a promo back
Never knew there were two different versions for that one. I also don’t collect non-TCG for Pikachu, so I also don’t have the regular version, even though I’ve seen it a lot of times before.
Maybe someone else knows. Based on the text, it seems to predate the sets.
And although I do see four special Action Flipz mentioned on Bulbapedia, this isn’t among them: Pokémon Action Flipz (Premier Edition) - Bulbapedia, the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia (which is obvious, since you otherwise wouldn’t have been here to ask your question in the first place
).
PS: I’ve moved your question to a more suitable thread. ![]()
Greetz,
Quuador
No! Why did I click this thread! I though I had managed to get all the Raichu flipz. No!!!
Thinking some more on this.

It’s number 1 not 10 which the actual one in the set is. The premier edition is 1 but that’s not the same as series 1.

Artbox did freebies with the Viz comics/manga. I have a few early ones that are artbox labelled sticker sheets. Maybe they went fancy?
Ive only known 3 or 4 people to have one and they were all purchased from an individual that had a bunch of them. Ive never seen any for sale or pictured anyhwhere else. I dont suspect the interest is that high for the lenticular cards… but Ive always thought they were really cool
Keeping up with rare action flipz cards here are two more from the advanced action flipz set.
There’s no mention of them on bulbapedia or on promotional material. I also dont know if both copyright sets have them. I dont know if they even come in the packs.
T1 grass pokemon
T2 pikachu
Hi!
About the my151 cards do you have the exact measures of tue card?
I’d like to know if they can fit into a binder.
Thank you.
They are 74x105mm
Awesome! Are these and the promo pikachu yours?
Ok so they won’t fit in a binder, one less card to be collected!
I found out where these come from
Very hard to find tins. If any one has any of these please let me know.
Ive found 4 total tins so there may be at least 4 different box toppers. Ive only been able to confrim two box toppers
Here’s a new with seal Kyogre/Groudon tin opening. Unfortunately, no box topper in this one. I hope the Torchic line tin has a Fire Pokemon promo to match the Treecko tin
Yea thats one of the 2006 tins. Theres another video of a 2006 treeko thats very poorly shot. You can see it doesnt have the stickers like these. The packs are slightly different
Still try to find proof for the others in 2003. Slightly differnt looking tins
Wondering if theres a mudkip line tin as well
Oh ok I see. These tins with special stickers fit a similar pattern as the LotR action flipz tins.
Bought this last year after noticing tins with and without stickers. This one had the topper and a full set, the others just had a few packs.
Really wish I got to take a crack at that linked ebay listing a few months ago
Love this stuff, going to keep looking
Thanks… been looking all day and was only able to find that one “grass pokemon” flip picture. I have that one and verified the pikachu with another collector. I’m thinking it’s proof enough that the blaziken line exists but would like to see a picture of it.
Ive been trying to find the tins on the way back machine somewhere but no luck. I figured someone here must have one in their collection
