Anybody else noticing that (vintage) Dragonite cards are getting a lot more expensive in the last couple of months (way more than most other Pokémon)?
Some examples and current sales:
That PSA 8 is especially interesting because half a year ago a PSA 9 sold for half the price.
Another example, I bought a EX condition copy of this card a couple of months ago for 40 EUR, now they are also 50-100% more expensive (only a card graded a 6 by small German grading company being left in this price range):
Those were just two examples, noticed similar things with the Fossil or Rulers of the Heavens Dragonites.

Dragonite was always popular but I think it getting a Mega in ZA and the release of Ascended Heroes was what pushed it over the top.
Sometimes all a popular Gen 1 - 3 species needs is some modern relevancy to bring it back into people’s mind.

Those are just following english, PSA 9 expedition dragonite is 3k now
Egregious.
Anyone who has ever collected/graded/sold these cards know just how readily available and easy to grade these were just a few months ago. 50x increase is something!
My assumption is that because you could buy so many of these despite being “lower” pop, it was an opportunity to try and manipulate the cardladder value.
DP era Japanese cards seems like a cesspit for this kind of manipulation recently..

I have some psa 10 mirror l2 houndooms listed that were somehow lower than the holo version but not selling, despite being like what 100x rarer nearly?
their time will come. i collect all eras and legend reverse foils are right at the top with e series and ex era in terms of card beauty

Rayquaza pokepark blue in a 9 recently sold for 650 bucks. only about 4,350 more and I can get a english gold star!
