Is there a guide for the Buyee shipping sizes? I couldn’t find anything in the FAQ or the site.
I am currently estimating how big my package can get before it gets but into a higher category/ bigger size.
Complete depends on who is packing your package. I have had packages where more than half of the package was filled with plastic and packages where only the outer layer was lined with plastic. I prefered the latter since that obviously saved a lot on shipping costs. You just need to get lucky with the person packing
So you never know how much you are going to pay until someone packaged it?
Correct. They have weight limits and their associated costs, but again those can vary based on who is packing it. I opt for consolidation and additional packaging almost every time, and sometimes I receive a large box with an insane amount of bubble wrap and other times I’ll receive a large manila envelope of sorts with all my smaller envelopes inside. Those latter packages are the ones where all in I’m at $45 USD or less (including the 1500 yen packaging fee).
Thanks for the explanation.
Quick side node. What’s the benefit of the standard plan if they don’t even let you return anything?
It seems that insurance is the only reason to use it.
If you want to be sure they atleast get what was pictured in the listing. They claim to check it so you know that the trophy you bought isnt an empty envelope.
Although im sure if it was a proxy card they likely wouldnt catch something like that and youd be screwed anyways.
Lol if you’ve ever paid for the photos service then you know they don’t check anything
Ive never paid for the photos. I have paid before for them to confirm it but only on items that were like $1000 +
Is it a scam Also where they still wont help you with issues even after they confirm it?
Zenmarket are much better for this particular service imo
Glossy 1996 Coros are very hard to find in NM-Mint condition
lol
Hard sure, but not 1500% premium hard when it’s not even mint.
Damaged and HP/MP copies are quite common, but try grading an 8 or higher.
Did you look at the listing?
Anyway, finding them in 7/8 condition is not hard. This is probably the most stupid psa premium I’ve ever seen.
Yes I did, that listing is actually on my watch list. You do know there are multiple variants of the Japanese ivy pikachu, including an extremely common non-glossy variant which is common mislabeled by PSA as glossy
If its so easy, sounds like that should be very easy money for you then. Why aren’t you finding these easy to find cards, grading them and selling for 1500% markup?
Why do you think I’m crapping my pants at seeing the price someone is paying for this, for the first time? Idk my words are being twisted. Did I say easy? No. I said not hard. They come up. Mint? No. I would understand a premium. But NM or worse? Not easy, not hard. Now I need to contemplate selling spare copies that are apparently worth grading even though I don’t want to grade anymore.
@kpod, cmon man. We’ve been in pokemon for a long time. These are basics for us. Why are you saying such obvious things? I can’t help but feel just a little insulted here. This is like 101 stuff. The copy on that listing is a glossy psa 7/8 quality card. $50. Just saying. There is an 8 and two 7’s for sale and I’m aghast at the prices I’m seeing. If you had looked at the “NM” card I was referencing I don’t see why you needed to bring up HP/DMG cards. We are talking about sub-mint cards of coro pika.
Cmon people $800 for this non mint copy? Wow I didn’t think this would be so controversal hahah.
Then I cant wait to see all the money you’ll be making grading and flipping this “not hard” to find in psa 8 or higher card.
What happened here? Did I say something? I genuinely looked at this listing in shock and so far 2/2 people are like “yeah bro get over it it’s not crazy”.
Wtf haha. Ok man.
If you have PSA 7/8 raw copies you don’t want to grade, and want to make an easy $25 extra over the $50 raw price, PM and I’ll buy all your raw 7/8 copies at $75 apiece! Otherwise they are definitely worth grading.
For reference no 10 copies exist, all the 10s are mislabeled non-glossy. There are only a few actually glossy 9s as well, one currently listed for 5 figured. For a lot of people, an 8 is realistically the best condition copy they will be able to obtain, and there is only one other actively listed at around $1400 USD. Search on Mercari and most copies are PSA 5 or worse. A few 6 worthy copies are listed for around $100 apiece. This card definitely plays into condition rarity premium over true rarity.
