I can’t find it either. Did it get scrubbed?
They could’ve added design contest to the title, but the listing is ok.
I’ve seen that coro copy the most. It also has the highest pop. I wouldn’t consider that the average.
I knew it would be the CoroCoro card before even clicking the link
I agree, but It’s still a 200 copy card. It was selling for 4-5k last year. I think a part it is that the market has been flooded with these cards recently. There’s a lot listed on eBay. Also, I believe there is a larger trend of rare Japanese cards dropping in price in the past few months.
Maybe because the art is mediocre. On hindsight, I am not even sure I would bid $2750 for it. But I would be surprised if the PSA10 version of Pucchigumi or Elementary 4th grade winner cards were sold below $3-4k.
That copy appears significantly more than any other. There isn’t definitive proof it has more than 200 released, but it wouldn’t surprised me considering how consistently more it appears than any other version.

Always nice seeing trophies surface… despite the sun damage.
Seems like the stamp promos/boxes are stabilizing at $200 box w/ stamps and $150 just the promos. Supply slowly increasing.
I’m wondering if there will ever be a premium on a mint box itself because mine already have damage somehow lol. All the innards are in perfect shape however.
Did Japan get a huge shipment of golden boxes? Went to eBay to finish the singles I was missing after opening a 25th box for Christmas and saw golden boxes going for 210ish, similarly stockx had them at 190. MSRP if I remember correctly is 17,600 yen or ~150ish usd.
Pokémon Centers seem to have quite a lot of stock these days. It just doesn’t make its way online at retail price. But if you go to the stores they usually have a number of sets available each day. You have to buy it at the counter though, and there is a limit to how much you can buy.
I’m wondering why there doesn’t seem to be a big interest in the japanese market?
The print quality was and still is much better and is the original language. Personally I prefer them even though I grew up with the english editions.
But yet most of the wotc psa 10’s can be found sub $1k (with some exceptions) even in relatively low pop.
Am I the only one to believe there is a huge room for growth here?
As an example: psa 10 neo lugias can be found for $600-700, while the newer 2021 stuff is sometimes priced higher…
Most people prefer English = less demand
Mostly better print quality = more supply
The better print quality equates to more supply with respect to condition rarity. Most old backs are capable of getting PSA 9-10 with high frequency, while English WotC can struggle to get 9s in some cases. Comparing Japanese 10s to English 10s is not really fair in this context.
Your last sentence is interesting but that’s 2000 vs. 2021 and not English vs. Japanese. I think you’re right about that.
The exact opposite recently happened and is still in the process of happening, which is why large segments of japanese is on its way down, not up.
Tell me you only collect wotc without telling me you only collect wotc.
Just buy anything Neo 4 and watch your bank account grow. It was sensible advice in 2010, probably still is now.
Adding on to the supply/demand mismatch, most of the earlier Japanese WotC sets have a holo guaranteed in every pack, while at the same time the Japanese packs are less expensive than their English unlimited counterparts. There are still a lot of pack fresh Japanese WotC holos that are fairly accessible meaning that PSA 10’s do not hold the same difficulty of acquisition as English WotC
The fact this hasn’t been moved to the Japanese market thread already tells you the moderators aren’t yet annoyed by the frequency of out-of-place Japanese market questions being posted, which is a direct indicator of lack of interest in Japanese in itself. It’s a tragedy.
