Traded 1 neo gen 1st, 3 neo discovery 1st, 2 neo Rev 1st and 2 neo Destiny 1st Boxes for base 1st edition box. Think neos still have a ton of room to grow but didnât know when Iâd get that opportunity again.
Itâs funnyâŠI actually bought most my neos off them at the beginning of the year for much cheaper, so it just went right back to them.
If you add up all those boxes they are trying to clear over $100k for all of them, doubt theyâll get it. I would take the 1st edition box for sure, especially if it was that super clean one they had listed for $80k?
Yes and I was buying neo destiny boxes off them for $9k in June and July as well as neo gen and discovery boxes for $2500-$3000 around that time so my cost basis was pretty low. Figured I could find more neo boxes if I look, the base boxâŠwho knows.
They said it was authentic and was looked at by their experts and collector cache head guy, as well it was bought off a guy who had every 1st ed WOTC booster box and the other boxes were legitâŠI am possibly having another expert (from E4) look at it as well though. Luckily they guaranteed it (in writing) so at least I have a large store to go after if the unthinkable happens.
Separate rantâŠIt does concern me they still have that âshadowlessâ box up. Told Joe at DA that it 100% is not shadowlessâŠapparently you can see the red bar on the top of the packs so itâs unlimited. He confirmed you can see that and that it is a âvariantâ - I told him variant doesnât mean shadowless though and (at least to my knowledge) itâs impossible or 99% impossible that the artwork with the red âtrading card gameâ logo is shadowless.
Thatâs not very honest if theyâre trying to pass that on as shadowless, knowing itâs not. You would think this would affecy their reputation as anyone who buys it will return it once they look at the packs.
Well, @pokeg already said it all (here the Yu-Gi-Oh wiki page for it, where the other three cards are also mentioned - without picture of the frame though).
EDIT: Something interesting I just noticed: the cards in the picture on the Wiki page are in a different order:
One other thing to mention: their Ultra Secret Rare rarity (silver Secret Rare name with regular Holofoil image like an Ultra/Super Rare) is pretty unique. Apart from those six cards, there are only five other OCG cards with that same rarity as far as I know (three in the Limited Edition set and one each as the Official Guide Starter Book promo and Duel Monsters II tournament meeting experience promo), as well as just a single TCG card (GSE-EN001 Elemental HERO Wildheart from the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Special Edition blister). Luckily for me, those other cards mentioned are all less than 10 bucks. But more about this and 100+ other Yu-Gi-Oh rarities soon in my upcoming article. Still waiting for some cards to arrive before I start working on it.
