The Giant Deal Thread

Let’s hope they get into a car crash or something on the way home to stop the auction.
Nothing serious, just enough to make them unable to end the auction early.

Won’t be hoping for that. Not even for a Pukachu Illustrator. Sorry.

I would go for a computer crash though.

I was joking.

I wasn’t joking about the computer crash.

Let’s include mobile phone too.

@milhouse, I know you were just joking.

I’m just being wary of crash crashes. My brother died in one.

Fair enough, I’d never wish something so horrible over some cardboard :stuck_out_tongue:

gonna watch this, might try have a go, but I’d prefer a graded one tbh lol

I wouldn’t expect this to be better than an 8. That same seller has lots of graded cards. It’s hard to imagine that seller passing a chance to grade that card.

Generous with the PSA 8 assumption ahahaha! With all that edgeware I’d say 7.

I didn’t see the picture of the back with that card. Psa can be generous when you send in bulk. They may not give 10s but they do give generous 9s. Case in point we’re my psa 9 espeon and Rayquaza Gold star. Both should be 8s but I sent in like 35 gold stars.almost all 9s.

I think if any of us believed that we’d never send in any cards to PSA and certainly wouldn’t buy them;)

It’s a blind process. They don’t see anything about your order when they are grading at all.

I thought they at least knew it’s from person or order.

Nope. Correct me if Ièm wrong @garyis2000

Pokemontrader is 100% right. They have no clue who’s orders they’re grading…

Even ‘unofficially’ giving you preference if you send in either a lot of cards, or a lot of expensive cards would not only be extremely unfair but it would extremely unprofessional and a business destroyer for PSA.

Every single item that comes through for grading should be treated exactly the same, whether it’s worth 1 dollar or 50k. Keeping that objectivity is probably the most important factor in PSA maintaining their integrity.

Graders don’t have a clue whose cards they’re grading. Unfortunately, sometimes they also don’t have a clue about the Pokemon cards they’re grading.

Obviously it is impossible to eliminate all unconscious or even conscious prejudice from grading, if a grader knows that something that they are handling is worth 50k, unconsciously they are more than likely to maybe handle it with a bit more care than a card they know is worth 20 bucks.

I don’t think it’s a major issue though, we’d be seeing huge discrepancies (instead of minor ones I have even noticed) if it were a big problem.

But yeah this is going off topic, so let’s leave it.
