Pretty significant pwcc auctions ending today involving first edition base. I’m excited to see how they all turn out, but more so with this psa 9 zard. Currently at $4,250 with 12 hours to go and all bids look legit. Could we see a new high for this card?!
The 8s sell for $3000 now… it wouldn’t make sense for 9s to ‘only’ be worth $4k. I think $5k sounds just about right. Does anyone think it might go past that?

I’m so glad I got my PSA 9 back in July. It’s already gone up more than $1000 since then. If you want one, get it while you can D:
Definitely. I know you might pay a tiny bit more than you want on your missing holos but that’s nothing compared to what you’d pay on Zard and even some other holos that doubled up. 
At this point I will have to pray for a decent ungraded copy in my local area. As close to NM as possible lol
Pwcc have two of them selling atm with the second one finishing on Wednesday. It’s cheaper atm so I wonder if it will stay that way by auction’s end or not…
In the end I’m willing to pay whatever it takes to get the cards I need. My offers on here are lower than I’d be willing to pay on ebay since there are no fees here and no buyer’s protection. If I don’t get any bites here, I’ll just go through ebay.
If you truly want the Zard, I’d recommend choosing a reasonable grade and just saving up until you have enough for it. Pick up a(nother) job, cut back on expenses, etc. If you plan to rely on luck, you may end up never finding one
This reminds me when they announced The PlaySation 3 for $599 and Kutaragi’s famous get a second job if you can’t afford it. 
Don’t worry about it. All I was saying is even if I plan to save $x,xxx for the one card, by the time I gather the funds I’ll probably have to settle with 1 grade(or 2) lower the way the market is going. So my idea of trying to find a raw copy at a decent price isn’t unreasonable.
We’re going offtopic anyway.. @pfm is right. Whoever is still in the market for a 9, stop waiting.. I know a few of you that wanted to pay $3500-4000 for a strong copy. At this point just buy any copy at the going rate and upgrade to a stronger 9 later on if you can.

Could be some jackass shilling it up with no intent to pay. Someone who has one to put up for sale soon and decided to use two dummy accounts to do the shilling. I really wish eBay would take some action against non payers though I understand why they cannot/won’t.

I don’t understand people who try to sell BGS 9.5s. Pokemon PSA 10s sell for insanely more than BGS 9.5s.
There’s no point in grading Pokemon with BGS unless you think the card has no chance of a PSA 10 but could get a BGS 9.5. Or you think it could actually get a BGS 10.

You make it sound as if any BGS 9.5 can be a PSA 10. That is not remotely true. I have tried to cross several with most not making the cut. They sell for what they should in that order as that is the order as quality goes. Same goes for PSA 9 to BGS 9.5. Most won’t make the cut.
From top down, nearly all BGS 10’s will be PSA 10. Nearly all PSA 10 would go to at least BGS 9.5. Nearly all BGS 9.5 would go to PSA 9. Works down the ladder, but not necessarily the other way.

Surprising to see shadowless charizard BGS 9 sell close to PSA 9 prices.
I am so glad I got Shadowless Charizard in 9 a few weeks ago… definitely can’t afford this much of a price hike over a few months ago. I’m still selling cards to help ease the cost and I got it for almost $300 cheaper than the nicer looking one tonight.
