Either way, I think it’s going to be difficult to find someone who will actually drop that kind of money. I remember Clive had the charizard trophy, which was for the 1st place winner, and he couldn’t move that for the life of him.

Moreover, the TMB medals that were handed out instead of cards sell for $100ish. While the trophy is really cool and rare, it’s going to be very difficult to find someone willing to drop a lot on it.

Doesn’t some random Hobby Shop in the UK have the Charizard Trophy? I remember someone making a topic on here about it about a year ago.

Yes, there was a year they only handed out medals instead of cards at the TMB. There was a TMB medal sitting on ebay for a couple hundred bucks for ages and no one bought it.

Yes but that medal on ebay wasn’t the one from the 1999 TMB in Japan. Those we have seen (ebay and I think someone on here has one) were given out at the finals in Hawaii. However there were TMB and SSB medals given out together with the No. 1/2/3 Trainer cards at the 9 events in Japan. Those medals are different and would probably sell for a lot (I’d pay much for any). However I have never seen one. A picture of those medals I’m referring to can be seen in the official card book

Oh you mean the colored medals for each place and the third place is pinkish purple?

I think realistically people will pay a premium for the trophy card vs the actual trophy. The worlds cards are a great example of this, the trophy cards sell for thousands, the actual trophies sell for maybe low hundreds.
