My point is if you’re selling high end with the intention to min/max buying some other high end, using “Fancash” means you are hoping a card you want shows up on Fanatics and not Alt or goldin.
Much more english vintage on Alt. The collections ended and there is still expedition + skyridge ending next week. But yeah I don’t care about high-end like ponchos and masaki promos 
which I’m sure Fanatics gets more of
Fanatics has Skyridge 9s & 10s every week in auction, plus many other high grade wotc holos. There is just as much, if not more than Alt for English vintage. I have followed both platforms’ auctions weekly for the past couple of years and while I haven’t done any hard counts, I feel confident in saying it is only more recently that Alt has started to catch up on the EN vintage front (with most of those cards coming from the same pool of sellers).
Fanatics does tend to get more high-end JP prize and trophy cards than Alt. Last week there were multiple Illusion’s Zoroark/Zorua cards, Fan Club Eevee, Grand Party and Masakis. If those aren’t what you’re after, that’s fine, but there’s no need to downplay what gets listed on Fanatics just to make Alt seem better (vote in my poll if you want to do that).

You got me! I love Alt’s auction format too. Especially how the auction end timer refills continuously for 10 hours.

ive only used it a handful of times for cards I already wanted, sometimes you can get a good deal that goes under the radar, the whole auction resetting anytime there’s a bid on any item is pretty annoying though. im on PST so it doesn’t really affect me that much but it can be pretty unviable if youre EST or like western Europe probably. other than that its basically the same as any other vault auction service imo
Couldn’t agree more. What would bother me is if I sold a card for $80, then used that to buy a $75 card. Because now I just have $5 sitting in the void until I make another sale to get that number up to something that’s worth something.
Or if I sell something for $200 then go to auction for a card that I want and someone outbids me. So now I have $200 on the void and have to hope something pops up in a year or I find something else that I wouldn’t mind spending that exact amount of money on.

It works alongside normal cash to subsidize what you need to pay out of pocket. You wouldn’t need to spend the exact amount.
Relisted all my FC sales for fancash. I always keep it in there for buying other things anyways so this is a big win
Yeah, got the same confirmation. You get the full amount the buyer pays at auction in FanCash.
Also, fun fact, the FanCash expires into Account Credit even if you never use it at a 10% fee (6% mktplace + 4% admin fee)… so in theory you could wait and end up with lower overall fees on certain sales lol.

As this thread shows, many will understandably value the flexibility of $, and this only benefits those who semi-regularly buy on Fanatics who are happy to receive company scrip haha - but I think this is overall a pretty big move. Hoping to see moves by others to lower fees for buyers/sellers - let the platforms compete for us!

Any idea on how the shipping charge from the vault is calculated? Not referencing the 3%/1% part, the actual charge for the label. Like 10 slabs is $12, 20 slabs is $18 kind of thing? Or does each slab add a little bit?
its based on the items value for insurance i think. so if u buy abuncha cheapo stuff from the weekies the shipping will still be pretty cheap
