Hey guys - as some of you who have interacted with me know, I’m fairly new here still and am getting involved in the community through buying/selling/trading and YouTube! Well I wanted a way to store my PSA cards I’m going to be acquiring and came across this box. I’ve seen it in other videos and whatnot but no one ever really talks about it (other than smpratte in a recent video of his briefly).
Well I did an unboxing and first looks review of the box to show everyone who is thinking about getting it or might not of even heard of it!!
The box is slightly pricey so I figured this could help save someone some time and research and introduce the product to others.
Hope you enjoy it and remember to subscribe and ask me any questions you might have! Thanks!
This one only holds a maximum of 32 PSA cards, so it takes up less storage space. I’m using it for now because at the moment I don’t plan on owning more than 32 PSA cards. If that ever changes then I’ll certainly have to upgrade.
My only complaint about the box I use is that its aesthetic appeal leaves something to be desired. But I have yet to find a similar product that offers a much better visual representation.
I didn’t want to be restricted by the amount of PSAs I have and I’m ALL for the aesthetically pleasing side of things. Very nit picky about how I have my stuff organized and displayed. The rows would allow me to have sets separated even when they aren’t complete. It isn’t quite what I want yet but it is getting there!
@thecardguyz I totally agree with you about the importance of aesthetics! That is actually a reason I may want to get this product anyway. It’s just that right now I’m only committed to getting precisely 21 different PSA cards, 20 of which are part of the same set… so I would certainly have a lot of unused space.
…Then again, maybe I could use some of the other slots for some of my cards that are in toploaders?
The guy who makes the LIONGoods boxes just got his new order in after being backlogged. He made a few changes based on feedback:
“the external measurements of the box are the same (so it’ll match the others).
they are now made of a lightweight wood (so better sturdiness)
the hinges on the back had to be shifted towards the center slightly (for better stability when opening/closing)
internal rows a smidge wider so cases with sleeves fit better as do sgc cases now.”
Looks like a brand new one will be $57.99 & the “imperfect” ones will be 2/$55. He mentioned the design changes increased the quality of manufacturing and there are fewer imperfect cases. I believe he’s going to list these soon for anyone looking to restock (he’s been out of stock for what seems like 6 months).
Maybe we can add a link when his listing goes live?
In a couple weeks I am going to take a 2nd look at CNC machines. Most likely will be purchasing one in about a month and will be making custom cases for psa/bgs cards, stands, and shadowboxes.
