Magnemite is generally depicted with its magnets at opposite polarities:

The sowsow Mite is on the cusp of breaking this, but it appears to be mid rotation and there’s a bit of funny perspective going on.

The MAHOU Mite is the only one that breaks this rule.

Id like to think that hes being depicted as “positive” and thus is happy in that illustration, and its like a “thumbs up Im doing good”, but Im speaking for myself lol.

Nonetheless I never noticed that!

An inordinate amount of cards portraying Ground type Pokemon have a weakness to electric.

WOTC Base and other early set variants are widely unrecognized after 26+ years, especially to grading companies.

I’ve posted about this before, but the sample Eevee card is based off of Eevee’s Pokemon Stadium model. This model would be used for Eevee in 3D spinoffs until Pokemon Battle Revolution, which replaced the model of Pikachu and Eevee with their modern designs.

Some other Gen 1 and Gen 2 Pokemon would also be remolded, but most still use their Stadium/2 models.

CR CG gangs, the illustrator of this card according to Bulbapedia, often worked in collaboration with those who modeled for the Pokemon Stadium games. These artists include Ken Hoshiba and Ryuta Kusumi.

Another example of this is Crystal Tower’s Entei, which appears to use the same model as Stadium 2 Entei.

While researching this, I looked into a lot of the cards containing 3D models that I thought may have been just copy/pasted from the Stadium games, but actually realized that a lot of the models during the ex era were most likely custom made by their respective artists. Some artists that did 3D during this era were T. Honda, Nakaoka, and Katsura Tabata. There’s probably more research to be done on this, but that’s all I have for tonight!

There was a Game Show promo featuring Rayquaza with about 8 cards in exsistence, and it was only available for 1 day in a tournament that lasted just one singular weekend. It’s a reprint of a BW card in 2012 with the Stamp “GameShow Promo”. It is arguably one of the Rarest cards in pokemon history and THE rarest rayquaza card of all time. Only 3 Graded (2 10’s 1 9)

P.S If anyone finds more photos, sales, or # of this, please lmk
