Okay, so vmax climax had 42 CSR.
Vstar universe has 29 SAR if you include the golden Giratina Arceus Dialga and Palkia.
Assuming one per box, seems to me like cards should be noticeably easier to pull. Someone smarter to me can do the math.
Huge shoutout to @koala for providing E4 with the set information as it came out. I think we all are grateful for him taking the time to update this thread and it was exciting to see him post to this thread through the month.

So this set is clearly S-tier but what are people thinking in terms of the price for boxes at this point? The cheapest I can find on Ebay are around $98-$100 which seems steep.

A drop down to more “reasonable” prices ($75 - $90) just as the second wave approaches, at the very least. For the future I would assume you could look at how Tag Team All Stars performed and predict similar performance.

I’ll be curious how this will cross over to Crown Zenith too. What will end up as promos, will anything get cut, etc
Boxes are always more expensive before their official release, which is why I can’t comprehend why so many people pre-order them. Typically, the box will drop to around $70-75 within a few weeks after release, and then it will stagnate before a reprint where it tends to dip even more. Once things regulate, the boxes will start to creep up.

I could be having a brainfart here, but I don’t think these types of sets have Rainbow Rares. I don’t think VMAX Climax had any, either.
VMAX Climax didn’t have an English release though & Crown Zenith will mostly be 1-to-1 with VSTAR Universe. And not having Rainbow rares in an English set is very uncommon, it’s only happened twice since they were introduced (Celebrations, Shining Fates & Detective Pikachu).
That said, I wouldn’t say Rainbows are gone until Scarlett Violet base set is lacking them.
IIRC Shining Fates had the alcreamie VMAX rainbow

Adding these to eBay cart to monitor pricing. Not terrible at the moment. Much better than paying 600$ for lugia out of the gate.
I think I heard 3-4 AR per box and possibly 1 SAR per box.

Damn, that’s awesome! All of those are sequentially numbered Kouki Saitou artworks. They form a combined artwork as well. Saitou God Pack confirmed, what a time to be alive!

I don’t get the people who buy the cards a day or 2 before release. Leafeon SAR sales in the $90s yesterday, low list of $60 today and coming down fast.
Well recently for sets like PT and LA the alts have only gone up since pre order prices (Gira/Lugia). So there is a little history for it working out in their favor, but on a special set like this, I don’t think so.

Something to note is that 10 of the trainer cards have the SAR designation which I would assume would take the hit of the box. The other 6 have the SR designation

i have yuyutei pulled up and plan on placing an order ASAP for some of my favorite SARs. these preorder prices are nuts. yes i know they will drop most likely, but i’ll happily pay 20-30$ for some of my favorite special arts of all time all day
