Square Cut S&M Fairy Energy

Hey guys,

I was wondering what the value of this Square-Cut fairy Energy I pulled would be?

I know the quality control on S&M hasn’t been great, but I was still surprised to find it! I haven’t seen a square cut in person, so unless it’s really worth something I’ll probably just keep it for myself

Also, if I were to send it to PSA (more to have it encapsulated than anything else) would it be marked as miscut or error?

Appreciate any help.

not an expert, but I don’t think most people would pay more than $1 for such a card, if you waited for right person with some luck, maybe 2-3 if they don’t know the value, especially being an energy card.

probably best to keep in collection as it is a cool find…

Since it’s only square cut on one side instead of all around I agree with @pieterpie: it’s barely worth more than a regular Fairy Energy, so just keep it in your collection. Your own nostalgia regarding pulling such an error is worth a lot more than selling it.

To the right collector who’s into these kind of errors it’s still only 1 or 2 bucks more than a non-error, at most. Some Pokémon like Mewtwo or Charizard might be a bit more with an error like this, but an energy not really. And even a complete Square Cut won’t be worth a lot more than the non-error variant for energies like this.

PSA won’t grade that, or any square cuts, unless they overlook it.

Regarding value, I believe many error collectors would love that card especially if it’s a one of a kind. Ive only seen one two corner square cut before, a mewtwo, and I got a great premium for it. Wait for more replies here cause I could be wrong.

Very much agreed, its not worth the crazy amount some think it is. In one of Derium’s videos he opened a few packs that had multiple one sided square cuts, they are very prevalent with the amount of quantity that is being produced right now.

If you had a full square cut all four borders, that would be a huge premium but for this Id just keep it in a nice collection, see if you can get all of them.
