I usually look up for real card references and then copypaste, or just translate the text with google translate (but I don’t really like to do so)
uh… this thread… I have mixed thoughts. I like seeing the new creations and artwork, and the effort people go to creating these. From design perspective its great.
But I just worry about them getting into the hands of the wrong people. Could easily be misconceived and resold… wrongly.

Faking is a quite old hobby, actually: Nick15 started the phenomenon when the Neo block wasn’t out yet, lots of years ago.
It has nothing to do with counterfeiting or even proxy (like what happens in the MTG context).
My fakes usually have my own artwork and nickname, and can’t be confused with real cards, but sometimes I use stock Sugimori art for the sake of my personal tastes.
True, sometimes some scammers (usually really young people) print them and try to resell them as their own creations, but they never pass the test as real cards, cause no one has achieved a high enough quality to make them believable fakes.
I sincerely think that no one with enough experience to recognize a fake card will fall into something like this 
I wouldn’t ever charge money for a fake if I was even to let it out of my possession. I think it’s fun to throw out images of some dream cards especially when they’re from collectors/hobbiests who are well informed about the pastime. Also I’m a bit more tolerant of bootleg items now that I’ve delved into some taiwanese Our honorable president and sticker cards
