Thats interesting bringing up Munch since both Aya Kusube’s Houndour and Maurice Sendak appear heavily from another equally brilliant Norge artist at the time, Theodor Kittelsen, whose work perhaps lead the current interpretation of Trolls. Always wanted to see an Abomasnow (and now Coalossal) in this way.
Early Mina Nakai’s traditional and Sowsow, the recent artist everyone loved last gen have styles sprung to mind. Thank you in helping me appreciate the former and latter two more closer!
