Show Off Your Error Cards Megathread!

That’s very interesting. I can’t think of how this could have happened while still having proper rounded corners.

Just one this one. I like when the art works with the error

If it’s wider than a normal card, would the slab also have to be wider?

im not sure, i dont know how they would handle that, haha.

Heres a scan of it next to a normal card ( i aligned them both on the side of my scanner but it cut off a bit at the left.)

Also, heres the other misprints i was talking about

Those off-register cards are making me sick… But they’re pretty sick!

Curious to know more about that energy card. These days, IDK how energy cards are printed… I’m wondering if the card was bent in the cutter… Or maybe the entire stack was mis-cut? Weird. Cool.

Please hold the camera steady! Haha. Very very nice cards. That Carnivine is really lunging at you.

Controversial for some, but something I’ve been meaning to do for a while after owning this card for about 9 years now… Got my miscut and misaligned (back is perfectly centered) 1st Edition Base Charizard cracked from a very old PSA 4 case (back when miscut cards were randomly docked grades) to be signed by the legendary artist Mitsuhiro Arita!

(She’s a thick one)

Over the years I have felt that Arita’s been seen as the most accessible artist and “easier to obtain” signature, but I’ll continue to repeat what I say to my close friends in the hobby… Do not take it for granted, nor he or anyone will sign forever. If you truly want something and work towards it, make sure to take that leap and cross it proudly off the bucket list!

Before I send these off to PSA and potentially never see these again, I wanted to do the best I could to photograph the insane holobleed on these French 1st edition base set holos. All of them have it, but these are my two favorites. Pictures really don’t do them justice

Doesn’t hurt that these are mint condition

Gorgeous bleeds. I’d say it’s 50/50 whether they have the bleed or not with French 1st Editions, and then the intensity of the bleed can vary a lot. These look like two strong ones.

Not a new pickup but happy with how this picture turned out

very nice. The only thing that “ruins” signatures for me, is the scum who trick artists, stalk them, treat them like a piggy bank, the grading companies who don’t stand behind their “authentication” and the people faking signatures.

This signature is meaningful to YOU! That is what is important. Take it from someone who literally can’t get what he wants and to meet the artist he wants to meet, they won’t be around forever… you can check my collection thread, go to my abandoned goals

:red_circle: Mewtwo Black Star Promo #12 WOTC signed by Christoper Rush

So yeah! Nice signature get. I alos do have a non-tcg signature from someone who we lost young. But I value the picture I took with that person than the signature itself.

We live in a relatively young card ecosystem. I’d consider baseball card collectors who may have more stories of going through this. Have any regular pokemon TCG artists passed away that we know of?

Looking for information about this little cutie is what lead me to E4!

I love the human element of design errors.

Been getting slaughtered on prismatic evolutions but these two reverse holos lacking their pattern are nifty. Shame they aren’t pokemon I like!

Hmm I don’t know what it is but it looks like a layer is folded over, is it pressed flat?

The pictures make it look more 3d but its pressed flat

The top layer probably just got pressed weirdly during printing seems cool someone else who has seen this more can correct me if I’m off
