Show Off Your Error Cards Megathread!

These are called printer hickeys. They’re far more common than you think and they can show up in different colors.

Printer Hickeys occur when a small particle or piece of debris sticks to either the printing plate or the blanket. This imperfection will show up as a small, round defect on the card.

Does this Print Hickey drive a premium? When have you seen a Hickey on a Staff card? It’s on eBay btw!

Is this, perhaps, the ideal mix of the rarest, most desirable Pokemon, and best condition error card in existence?

I opened up a pack of English Scarlet and Violet just a few minutes ago and noticed that my 3 uncommons look light on the ink/had a faded printing. I’m not sure if this light-ink error is a regular occurrence in the Scarlet and Violet English printing, but I thought it was worth a share.

Here is the Light-Ink Error Youngster (Regular Youngster on right for comparison):

Here is the Light-Ink Error Flaaffy (Regular Flaaffy on right for comparison):

Here is the Link-Ink Error Blissey:

This is actually the reason I wanted to make this post, as I thought @qwachansey might like it (we all know Chansey is better than Blissey, but this card is good because Chansey is under Stage 1 ). That being said, it’s important to note that the red ink used to title the ability looks normal, but the other text does not.

I took these pictures from the same spot (or close to) on my desk, so the “faded” look isn’t a result of the lighting.

Let me know if you guys have seen this in the newest set!

Venusaur with a big ol’ ink (obstruction?) error on the bottom right.

This is probably the biggest one of these kinds of errors I’ve seen on a Base holo. Bonus points for it being one of the starters too!

Edit: Added close ups…which I somehow forgot to do earlier?!

Oh that’s true, hadn’t even realised the colour matched Venusaur!

This V card has a silver border instead of black. But it doesn’t appear to be missing any black layers on the main part of the card. Has anyone seen this before?
