Should I purchase this 1st edition charizard?

Hello all, I am very interested in a 1st edition shadowless charizard that a local craigslister is selling. I wanted to get your opinion on if you think this is potentially a fake or not? He is asking $4k. If you think it could be real I will take a look in person and see if it is grade worthy.

The back looks weird and is unsleeved while the front pic is in a plastic case. Imo there is a reason it is priced cheaper than a psa 1 and being sold on Craigslist. Can always inspect in person but confidence level low.

@macilvaine33, front looks real, back looks a bit weird but the photos are terrible

Ask for different photos and make sure the backgrounds match up. It almost looks like photos of two different cards.

Get more pictures. Back is fake. 99% they want you to meet them and murder you.

In 2020 who would have thought camera quality for taking photos when selling an item is the same as back in 2008.

I will see if he can send me more photos, I agree the photos are quite grainy.

Would not purchase an ungraded copy at all.

Front looks like it’s in a PSA case. Stay away.

yeah this is definitely a scam. the front charizard is absolutely in a PSA case and the back picture is super sketch. with a card this valuable/scarce any “deal” you happen to find on craigslist is 99.99% of the time going to be illegitimate

yeah @macilvaine33 listen to Teraz, it’s in a PSA case–it is a scam. Stay away for your safety. Front is PSA case and back is some bull****

@pottsinator is actually probably more accurate than we are all willing to admit.
