Hi guys this is my first post. I’m a long time pokemon fan. I started collecting back in the heyday 20 years ago and stopped like most other people did. I got back into it 10 years about for a short time and now I’m back at it again. This time long term I hope! Lol
So I intend to buy this ungraded Charizard 1st edition for around $1000 USD. ($1300 Canadian). It’s a local sale which is nice but I’m wondering what you guys think of the card. I’ve heard of fake 1st edition stamps. Does this card look legit? Any rough estimates on the grade of the card? Thanks in advance.
Looks legit but the pictures aren’t good enough to offer an accurate opinion on grade. Just based on what I see I’d say a 4 quality but could be worse. If 4 quality then your price is pretty much market value.
Thanks for the responses guys. The pics definitely aren’t good I agree. The front of the card looks fairly good from the pics from what I can see. I’ll probably go take a look at it.
I’d say PSA 3-4. Just make sure you are aware there is a crease halfway up the card on the left side, right by the first edition stamp. Any crease I think automatically docks it down to a PSA 4 or 5.
Looks fine as far as authenticity. I’d def comb over it with a fine tooth comb whenever you see it in person, as it looks like it may have a little crease mid-way on the right side of the card.
Who knows what is Authentic these days. I have seen graded Beckett cards look 103% legit and people claim it is fake without any reasoning behind it.

I just wanted to see what looked fake about the stamp…I compared it to Many others i have seen and it looks exactly the same quality. I am considered making an offer, just wanted to do research first.

@amplibax, at first glance I don’t see any red flags. The fact that there’s some noticeable wear makes it more reasonable to me that it might be legit.
This isn’t helpful. You should just stay out of future threads, as you only want to talk about is your fake card. Zero threads will be talking about that fake from now on, even if it was real there’s tons of better more interesting things to talk about. We’re all aware you’re a troll. I hope this was helpful.
You are trying to bring up a thread that has been locked by the moderators. If I was you I would drop the conversation because no one on here wants to talk about your card.
Smpratte had already showed you clear comparisons as to why the graded card was fake, so if you still can’t get it over your head just go ahead and purchase the card, your life your choice…

OP, follow your dream and buy the Charizord. I bought a similar played copy 5 years ago at $200cad and who’s laughing now. In 5 years you can laugh too.
