I like all music that makes me feel something or has atmosphere.
Usually gravitate towards the harder styles
Also love oldschool trance or Synthwave if I want something more chill!
I guess Iāll update with what Iāve been listening to recently as well.
In two words, KANYE WEST.
I have no idea how I never got with it before. I am infatuated with every single commercial release this guy has (except maybe his two recent ones, KSG and ye). My favorite is College Dropout, which has a very classic feel to it, but I also enjoy My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Yeezus, 808s and Heartbreak, and whatever other ādifferentā things heās tried. Heās so talented itās ridiculous. I have a Spotify playlist with some of my favorites of his hereā¦
Also, full disclosure, kpop has been a guilty pleasure of mine recently⦠mostly just the bubblegum-sounding girl groups. Itās just extremely infectious and the sounds are water-tight (that they try to hit at least). Plus, not being able to understand it is better than English pop music because what theyāre saying is vapid and uninteresting anyway. Just adds a little flavor. Not exactly the most masculine thing to like and itās a stark contrast to everything else, but I canāt help it lol.
Most songs I know for about 1 to 1.5 minutes due to the anime openings/endings (from the ones Iāve watched), so itās also surprising to hear the full songs in this mix. And loads of songs I didnāt knew about yet (mainly because the anime is either not well-known, or Iām not really interested in watching them).
Japanese is quite a nice language to listen to. If only my Japanese vocabulary was any betterā¦
Although I must admit I usually donāt really listen to this kind of mixes⦠I prefer Trance, Techno, Trap, Hands Up, and Hardstyle mostly. Although I can also appreciate pop, rock, nightcore and such every now and then.
Itās sunday morning, and that means cleaning the house. During this, I always like to put on this 90ās megamix by Alex K; It has so much great hits in one fluid mix, 2 hours of cleaning passes like itās nothing:
Iāve never heard of any of these (besides #1) lol. One of my sons was over and he knew them all and had even seen most of them at edc concerts all around. He said my friend xzini had great taste
My first song in 2018 was Nord Mead by Miracle Of Sound.
My first newly discovered artist in 2018 was The Wedding Singer Ensemble.
In total, Iāve listened to Spotify for 89.766 minutes of which 32 hours were spend listening to Battle Beast.
Iāve played golf with Alice Cooper(Vince) many times:) An interesting story: the first time we met was on the course. After the round I asked him if heād autograph my scorecard. He said, āOnly if youāll sign mine firstā lol.
His stage persona couldnāt have been more different than his real personality.
I couldnāt say enough good things about him. Musically, heās been successful for many decades, evolving his music every time while maintaining the Alice Cooper look and feel. He also surrounds himself with very talented artists throughout the years and really likes to put them in the spotlight as well. Instead of a band, theyāre much more like a family. And in some interviews, you really get a glimpse of the man behind Alice Cooper; Kind, funny and enjoying life to the fullest along with his lovely family (both the band and his actual one).
Thanks for sharing the story, Gary. Iām glad he left a good impression on you as well.
Iām not even kidding, at least for a year Iāve searched this song Youtube once in a while with no results and recently it just pops up in suggestions. I knew it was there but something didnāt want me to find it.
