Was looking for some music with a groove. Found 2010s Japanese Jazz.
Been jamming to a lot of Parkway Drive at work lately, otherwise for other genres ive been digging stop light observations, joyner lucas, or king iso.
I heard this on the radio today for the first time in years. It was after midday so the DJ who chose it must have been feeling a little rambunctious.
First came across this song when playing Sleeping dogs, but prefer this live version a lot more. The baseline is just perfect.

every once in a while i go down a spiral of late 90s/early 2000s rnb. there’s just something about the beats at the time. the music videos… idk… it all just hits the nostalgia button for me more than maybe anything else
looking back, the music was pretty bizarre tbh
