Set Release Durations

Hello everyone,

This is my first time asking a question and there is so much content on here I don’t know if its been asked already or not.
I was wondering if there is a pre-determined amount of time a set is released for before its then taken off the printing cycle, or if its by volume sold or a sales drop by percentage.

Also if any of this kind of information is not known and purposely not released to the public. Since I could see how people could capitalize on information like this and buy up before the stop print date is about to come around.

No one really knows. I think evolutions was in print the longest of any modern set - it was released in 11/2016 and youtubers declared it was OOP in summer 2020, to give you an idea.

Thank you for the info!!! I kind of figured its a kept secret by Pokemon or its just determined by popularity of the set.
