What would you do?
(Item was around $200 USD)
All depends on your deal. How much usd does he want?
That’s bad on the seller’s part. You definitely shouldn’t be responsible , but you can pay if you’re feeling nice.
I wouldn’t even respond, your not responsible for giving him extra shipping money once you already have paid the agreed upon price.
Knowing how annoying shipping can be and how much prices vary between countries, I’ve lost money on shipping more often than not unless I charged $30 CAD+ which no one wants to pay. Lol
It’s entirely up to you. I’d pay if it were a good deal, but I’d wait for the package to arrive first.
I guess the seller did not charge enough for international shipping, unless you asked him to change shipment methods, it’s the sellers fault. It’s up to you if you want to cover the extra cost, only half of it, or none at all.
If it’s started tracking, I’d send him the money, he’s just being honest about the costs.
If it hasn’t started tracking, I’d hold off until it’s shipped.
Personally I wouldnt pay. The seller should have spoken to you before shipping at which point you could have come to an agreement first but now its shipped it is shipped. I doubt he would send you money back if he felt you had overpaid.
Totally up to you, if you got a deal it’s a no brainer to help him out, but if paying the extra shipping suddenly means you’re paying over market price I’d say that’s on the seller to handle. I’d personally never ask a buyer to pay extra shipping though, my mistake means I’ll take the lesson, I have had buyers send me extra to cover the shipping once they see how much postage I had to pay though, which is nice!
If youre still conflicted, flip a coin! Heads you pay him and tails you don’t. If you plan on buying from him in the future perhaps it would be a friendly gesture to keep good standing, if you never see yourself buying from the dude again then dont, I personally wouldn’t pay it. Tell him you’ll give him a wooden buffalo nickel max haha.
