I have in my possession a completely sealed Tempest Gift Box
Similar to the US thunderstorm, but it comes with Base Set, Jungle and Fossil boosters instead. It’s completely sealed (except for the WH Smiths retail puncture holes).
I have no interest in getting rid of it, it’s on display in my case at home inside some UV protection and that’s where it will stay.
But I haven’t been following Pokémon at all, and lately everything been going crazy, and some I’m wondering how one would even price that? Does anyone else here have own laying around sealed? I assume the POP at this point is very low?
I would guess it is around $2,000-$3,000. They went up a little but there still isn’t much of a premium on them. It is one of the only Base items I haven’t picked up.

Add up the pack value, add in the deck value, a slight bump for untampered unweighed premium and there you have it. One was sold on ebay in March for about $2000 so around that.

That sounds about right. My estimate was a wild swing (1500 thru 4000), with it likely being around the 2.5K mark so yeah I pretty much agree with you.
The hard part is the population is so low… But also I don’t know anyone craving a tempest gift box. It’s feels more like a fun thing than something like a whole base set booster box or whatever
Oh really? And that was tempest not thunderstorm? I guess I need to learn how to look this up. 2000 is about what I would expect it to go for I think given value to what people would pay for it.
