Yes but not as much. I’d pay a lot for the feraligatr. I just like the artwork better and he was my starter for gen 2. So its a bit more nostalgic for me. But there’s a Meganium listed for 10k and no ones bought it yet.
However, I have noticed slight movement with metal energy from the same set. Psa 10 copy sold for 2.5k recently. At the absolute lowest end, the 9’s should sell for minimum 250 dollars. But since there are no psa 9’s available at the moment, I just bought as many 8’s as I could. They should be minimum 125 dollars and bought them for a fraction of that
I was meaning down the track, e.g. 1-6 months from now. I’m pretty much saying that we should expect to see an increase in supply of this card as sellers are attracted by this higher price point - which should, at some point, put downward pressure on prices.
The 8 that sold was $1500 AUD best offer, and the accepted price was $950. Or around 600 USD. I think the seller commented on this thread and mentioned that the buyer had not yet paid.
The AUD threw me off. It was just s quick search I wasn’t actually buying one of these but at this rate I feel like paying any price asked is a good idea
I could feel his frustration so much in the video! I saw some really salty people on Instagram about this and had to I unfollow them because it’s just unbelievable. Why people take such a issue with things such as this is beyond me. Be happy that the market still thrives! Be happy with your own collections and be happy and supportive for others in the hobby. Why is that so difficult?
Be thankful for the positives we have in life, there are always people more and equally less fortunate than ourselves. Also happiness can’t be measured in money or cardboard (well maybe a bit in cardboard but you know what I am saying ).
smpratte I’m sure that T17 labeled as a T18 is probably annoying but should be a easy fix. I wonder if PSa would do it free because it was their mistake
Sadly, I now only have one Lugia . . . I sold the other at a record high price of $1600 a while back. On the plus side, I used that money to add some other items to my collection. I’m still looking for that PSA10 Typhlosion and Slowking to complete my Neo Genesis set, but I’m beginning to accept that they just might be 9’s permanently . . . not salty.
I wonder to what extent this will influence unlimited prices of the T17.
I also don’t know if some of the many issues that plagued the T17 in 1st edition, are also present in the unlimited variation of the card. @smpratte, do you happen to know this? I found it interesting looking at the pop report, that also in unlimited, it’s a Pop 2 card. (vs Pop 45 in PSA 9).
imgur.com/a/jM0LPuF Check this out guys. It’s not just graded cards that are going up. This is amazing. Thank sweet Lord baby jesus for making smarts purchases haha. Don’t mind the $1200 near mint just look at the damaged and moderate for examples
