God, the release of this set, the stupid bots, the stupid lottery, and just the general situation in Japan really remind why I have become such a world-hating, Pokemon Company-hating misanthrope. But if I have one positive thing to say, I do really admire how they keep bringing in Japanese-based artistic talent into card illustration.
This new chap OKACHEKE is an absolute beast!
All while Shibuzoh, Komiya, sowsow, Sui, Mizue, HYOGONOSUKE, kodama, Arita and countless others make collecting even commons so enjoyable. I hope all the Youtube hypebeasts who open this set take some damn time to admire what these artists are doing.
Thatâs all I have got to say. Good luck for the lottery. Due to the sheer numbers of applications they have delayed the announcement by one day. Which hopefully means they are spending that extra time stealth eliminating all of you middle-men ordering non-Japan residents! Hah!
That Umbreon, god. All of these remind me of my personal favorite era of art (eseries, particularly some Japanese exclusives around the time) but in full blown art. Just gorgeous. Iâm really wishing all of these sets get overprinted to hell because I donât know how else Iâll complete my goal of an alt art binder from battle styles going forward.
