I have no proof this actually happened but back in 2015 when I just started collecting there was a binder collection with a snap poliwag in it that sold on auction for $500.
I’m sure the other contents were bangers too but the poli is the only thing I remember along with the binder itself (a 4 pocket Pikachu binder I haven’t seen since).

Only the second one in this packaging Ive seen, first one for sale. Missed it on mercari for $50 by 3hrs. Still weeping about it, one day I’ll find another.
Also missed a charizard goldstar in a binder on offerup as I was messaging them to pay asked price of $75, they sold the whole binder for $50. This one was 2019.

Looking at your pic I know you are a fan of the promos. But indeed these cards are so elusive. Maybe someday I can post an update of me finishing the set.

I was buying the scream promos in 2019 and was like, 100 bucks for mimikyu is too expensive. Now I still don’t own one. Pain

I was pretty sure that was a fake. I saw that too. They had another pika trophy trainer and a super secret battle raw. I didn’t bid because they all look like known proxies and also no one would ever let those go for that price.

YES! It makes me feel good that I’m not the only one desperately searching, but it saddens/scares me to know that same thing 
I’ve missed out on these so many times it’s very painful. I’ve only got three of them though.

This was this week. Nothing insane, just a great price that I knew would be grabbed quick. Took about 2 days which I thought was long. I decided to take some time to think about it. Almost pulled the trigger but little too late. But I found another beauty in its place that honestly I’m glad I didn’t get this cause this other one I’m so excited about. I’ll share when it comes in, in the latest pick ups thread.

Wow that is actually a great price for a PSA 9. There are raw cards going for more with not so great conditions. Pretty sure you made the right choice though and have the card you actually wanted. Looking forward to see what it is.

I missed the gold star alakazam psa 10 twice when I actually had money.
- e4 member contact me on forum, but it got sold on ebay after I contact him back
- another from ebay, but I was too slow on checkout.

I was offered a Gem Mint Crystal Charizard for 70 bucks. It went on to grade a 10 and I turned it down simply because that set was not a goal early in my collecting career. It still is not a goal, but DAMN I should have bought that one.

In 2017 the 2008 Advent countdown calendar was available for $500 sealed, and I didn’t pull the trigger on it because it was a lot of money for me back then and about 5 months worth of my pokemon budget.
I definitely regret not splurging for it.
