I have licked each of my cards as proof of ownership.

It’s the content of booster boxes.

Getting PSA to tag my set as the Best Pokemon Japanese Set of 2024 and then send me a trophy with my name on it

Can we see the trophy? Name redacted of course.

Sure. Sorry that I have to censor the entire PSA label since name is on it.

My ‘collection’ of japanese childrens cardboard has been carefully curated to only keep my favorites. Everything else facilitated or will eventually facilitate bigger goals. I consider it part of my collection because I couldn’t fathom a world without these items.

A lot of the stuff I end up keeping, whether that be on purpose or by happy accident, is stuff that I either found raw and graded myself, or hunted down myself from the source.

I really enjoy having a story for each larger piece of the collection. It’s fun to think of who I met and where I went to get it

Buying a card on auction or bin really doesn’t do much for me anymore sadly. I like the hunt

I’d consider 1/4 of my items my real “collection.” PSA 10 Jungle + Fossil sets, and PSA 10 Southern Islands set are my favorite Pokémon items. Then, there are a bunch of one of 1-off Yugioh cards I loved as a kid, or used in my decks.

Not really sure why, but I haven’t had the urge to sell any of the cards regardless of price. I am sure that will one day change, but even when I bought them for WAAAY less than now, I love to look at them.

The PSA 10 is obviously just a flex, but I look at them more than my binders of the same cards. Not sure why…. that must be an ego thing

That’s awesome!

I’d say what makes mine my own is the thought process and reasons behind starting my collection.

My first ever PTCG purchase

Being quite a low key and less popular set has also made it feel more personal rather than chasing obvious big money cards or trying to collect the latest if that makes sense.

Definitely the memories associated with my collection.

Some cards I’ve pulled on special occasions like my birthday.

Some cards I have were signed in person by an artist I was able to meet at events, and being able to share those memories with my girlfriend or relatives made that even more special.

Also, having specific cards in my collection remind me of certain memories, especially any Diamond and Pearl cards I have.

Only wish I still have my collection from when I was ages 8 - 11. I can’t complain too much though since I still have some pokemon items from when I was 13/14 years old.

The number of years the Forretress I got at a prerelease in 2005 spent in my wallet. Heat, pressure and time baby :ring:

It’s mostly Rayquazas, other than that idk

I’ve sold all my expensive ones so pretty much anyone can replicate it. Rayquaza cards are getting ridiculously expensive now, so I havent bought much either.

something like this. The connections. many cards I’ve bought came from normal people and I love hearding the stories behind them. I always make sure they know its going to become extra cherished for the memories of their original home. I keep all the little notes, doodles and knick knacks some people include in their orders too.

It’s probably my collection if it has slime cards, or topps cards, or wotc cards, or Komiya cards, or japanese exclusive cards, or connecting cards, or magic message cards, or do i have a problem?

Probably all of the duplicate copies of:

  • Bastiodon the Defender Alt-art Girafarig
  • Non-holo Fossil Raichu
  • Baba Raichu
  • Black Flame Ninetales

At this point I have at least 9 of each in all variations. Don’t really know anyone else doing that for these specific cards haha.
