PWCC PSA 10 Complete Shadowless Set Discussion

i think shadowless prices are just inconsistent at the moment, its gaining alot more popularity and people are probably unsure or hesitant to put down a huge sum of money due to it being a very speculative set at the moment causing pricing to be very flexible. I think let time run its coarse and prices will start to reflect the popularity and scarcity of the set

How much are the holos worth individually?

It would have to be less than $30K, yeah?

If I put Zard at $15k, Blastoise $5k and then extremely lowball the rest at $1k each that would bring in $34k. That’s the most conservative estimate I can give you.

On the higher end, I think $45-50k or so just for the holos sounds about right. Then add another $3-4k for the non holos.

This is VERY TRUE! The Shadowless Base Set just isn’t known among many “average” collectors like the 1st Ed. Base Set! Sure, it’s gaining more-and-more popularity as the 1st Ed. Base Set reaches new heights in-terms of pricing; however, it still has a long way to go! Plus, the Shadowless Base Set really doesn’t have the amount of Sales History as the 1st Ed. Base Set - especially when you’re looking-at Charizard! What’s the value of a PSA 10 Charizard - we can make a reasonable guess for 1st Ed. However, there really isn’t much information as to what we could expect from a Shadowless.

Blastoise is around $5000, a Chansey sold for $4500, and a Raichu for $3500… and I know a few collectors offering $3000 for Alakazam.

So those four cards couldn’t be lowballed at $1000 lol

Edit: but I do agree with what you’re saying

Starting bid was 99 cents with no reserve. Seller didn’t protect himself. Maybe they needed the money regardless of how much, maybe they anticipated a higher amount like everyone here. Doesn’t really matter at the end of the day.

Has @gemmintten posted his thoughts on this auction? I’d like to hear his input to this subject. It’s been real interesting so far. Lots of subjective opinions.

We discussed it a bit on Discord the night it sold. I’m on Discord now if you want to chat.

I’m still a bit new to navigation on this forum. Seen the word “Discord” but don’t know what it is.

I think people should be more reflective about what to sell with PWCC. PWCC uses the same exact method to sell everything. Unless you think that method is compatible with your product, why sell with them? PWCC is an eBay auction. It isn’t a magic school bus. Miss Frizzle will not take you to values never before seen when you use PWCC.

I’d also like to point out that in sports, you very often break up sets like this when selling. That isn’t just a cultural thing. It serves a purpose.

Lastly, this sale does not constitute a trend. It is a data point. It can be compared to other similar sales. It cannot be the foundation of a viewpoint. If you find it is that for you, you’re likely acting on confirmation bias and using it to reaffirm some other belief about the market.
