What is the total number of cards each has graded?
bgs has around 10 million, and psa 25 million 700,000 roughly.
Numbers would be due to the fact people like psaās grading scale for the collection. What @cullers said was 100% factingtons.
However The number of pristines at bgs would be extremely low compared to PSA 10, so we can definitely assume quality over quantity in the 10 areaā¦ Even if we waited untill BGS had 25 millin cards graded, and compared it to psa back when they had 25 millin, the quality of quantity ratio for 10ās would be apparentingtons, because as cullers said BGS doesnt really offer the grade up often.

The card BGS graded is simply not 8.5 condition. The point here is that in my experience, they are not consistent with pokemon cards under grade 9.
Yeese they are not consistant with cards below 9, but what do you think of the 10. With your pikachus, would you rather have a mint 9 or az 9.5ā¦ or would you rather have a psa 10 pikacchu trophies, or BGS pristine trophies. YOU MUST ANSWER THE QUESTION SMPRATTICAN. 
Also smpratte you must understand because a BGS standard of a 10 is much greater then a psa 10, then there 8 is going to be much lower then a psa 8, if that makes sense. The chances of you getting an 8 at bgs is very low, and you would have to have a mega shit card, hence most your caRDS will be 9.5-10 if your sending in strong psa 9/10 condition cards. Of course there 8.5 will be a shit train if there overall scale is perfected.
People are use to the grading scale of PSA, but to those complaining about not getting true 10ās and they dont understand why there card got over or under, I say test out BGS.

In my perspective PSA gives a card the Gem/10 grade even when a card might posses an almost non existent border. Even when a card had obvious silvering it receives a Gem/10 grade. To my knowledge PSA has even gone to the most unpleasant extent, where they damage cards.
Edit: How is PSA more professional and consistent than BGS? They are not.
All I know is that charizard gold stars I posted triggers me.
Im not saying bgs and psa arnt as good as each other, but they could learn certain tingz from each other to make things better.

You know exactly what I am referring too.
Even the simple fact that some collectors resubmit for higher grades. Some know that PSA can be lenient so they send their cards UNTIL it receives a higher grade. Because PSA is more lenient/forgiving when it comes to PokƩmon cards, does not make them better than BGS.

This is actually a really good thread though, because it might get some people thinking about bgs, and this is a seperate issue to the other thread, the other threads were about psa alone. I think the direction of this thread should not be about faults/mistakes but more comparing bgs with psa, and what they do different. Also it would be good to hear everyones opinion on the pristine grade, i think cullers was the best opinion xD
You should have sent your gem mint espeon and umbreon to bgs by the way. Would have been way more unique imo 
Since those come in gem mint sealed, it is a big waste to send them to psa, you might have got black label because there gem and perfect centered/ japanese.

My quaza and charizard gold star just got sent to BGS! EMERGERDā¦ AND SOMETHING ELSE GOT SENT GUYSā¦ SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEETHING ELSEā¦ So where not closing this thread, I will be reporting here cards that would definitely recieved a psa 10 soon that come from bGSā¦ If they give them 9.5, then i risked alot sending these, and lost a little bit, but atleast The journey will continue and peeps will witness the greatness of BGS.
Notice itās an average though. Without the whitening it wouldāve received a 9.5 SUBGRADE. The attention to detail is what I like when it comes to BGS. Note this, I would not grade my cards with either. These are my opinions brought upon by nothing more than observation.
Also peeps, id like to use this threads to come and report my results and comparisons, so stay tuned for some awesome stuff, because i got some good stuff coming in, which will also be posted in my collection threadidge.
It will be good to get advice and compare ideas, as I have about 200 cards i need to grade, and im not sure where they should go entirely yet, and must be discussed be for taking risks. xD
I dont want dis thread to be a hate thread on psa, but just like a compare thread, and we can all compare our results if anyone is submitting to both which is probably just me I sayā¦

I think @darkraiās newly acquired Espeon GS deserves a BGS BL. That aknowledges both BGS and PSA.
But what about cards that look nothing close to this card? Off centered, silvering, nicks? Those deserve 9ās. And resubmitting brings upon weak 10ās. That causes these debates of attention to detail.
But it is also fine to acquire easy 10ās. I simply āAināt Buying Itā. I respect BGS more because of their attention to detail. They break it down for you. Besides PokĆ©mon cards are not sports cards.

Well there is a difference in cards that are between grades. Not every card can be re-graded. But that is a separate issue. The 8.5 card I showed would never earn that grade at PSA. In fact, it already didnāt. I sent it in and it didnāt cross.
Either way, I donāt think BGS is straight garbage. I only think they are not as consistent as PSA with Pokemon cards.

Thing is to with bgs is if you get a black label on say rayquaza gold star 1st ed japanese or english gold label, you would be making your copy of the card so rare, so much value, and so unique to every single other copy out there. I guarantee the POp on cards like this at BGS will most likely reach no more then 1 or 2 for black label and 3 or 4 for Goldā¦ If you achieve this, your legacy will be greatness.
So I is trying to build a big legacy in my collection, its pretty much only thing that matters to me. Life is not as important as my collection lol, and given I dont have the same time as others, pokesynd must use this time to create big legacy of destruction and chaos.

Edit: Hmmms there might not be enough copies out there of 1997, so i beat you with illustrator gold label, and Snap Card complete set gold label. I hope you know this is a joke and not the aim of my collection. My aim is to make some really awesome hard to get in 10ās even harder to get, and build the legacy of pokesynd. That was always the goal with cards like old school ex. I have to say all of them where perfect and would get BGS 10ās because i got them from a big collector, so its really sad there all gone, because I could have sent dem to BGS.

I personally would never move to BGS because of the issues mentioned above. Not to mention I know they care about the value of a card in the grading process, which is BS.

Im just trying to show some peeps some good things about bgs, and also what my new achievments and goals are gonna be. Maybe you should read what i wrote about my legacy ect before. What I ment by when i get my results back, is we can further compare thingsā¦ Not do a Hate PSA Vs Bgs. Its got nothing to do with me wanting you to do anything, but it will be some good information for people to look at things differently is allā¦ Especially with the type of cards i sent in.
