Hopefully an experience PSA submitter can help me with these questions.
When dealing with a card that has a qualifier such as Stained (ST) or Off centered (OC)
When you submit a card that you think has a qualifier are suppose to mark it as such? on the submission form or will PSA automatically assign those qualifiers if they determine those qualifiers exist on the card?
Also, always wondered does PSA grade on the weekend?
You know when you use the online submission center, and it list the terms of use, where it says “all days are business days”, does that mean they work all 7 days a week or is it simple just stating that the 45 day turn around applies only to business days?
I’m not 100% Sure about the first part of your question - ST and OC Designation. I assume you’d just submit as a normal card; however, I would also include something within the note section specifying that you would like the ST, OC… Designation. Seems to me like it’s a complete toss-up as to whether or not they’ll actually give the designation or not though.
In regards to the Business Days - Monday through Friday. You don’t count Saturday or Sunday (or any of the Federal Holidays).
I’ve had orders logged on Saturday, but I don’t think they grade. The estimate times are based on Business days. I’ve left notes regarding a shadowless clefairy that was very OC and it just came back a 7 with no qualifier. I resent it and mentioned the alignment dot on the bottom right, hoping they regrade a MC/OC 8, but not too sure if the graders themselves read it.
Ahhh, luck of the draw than, yeah mine has an alignment dot as well visible but not sure if it will be graded MC, should be according to their description “an atypical cut” I think that would qualify.
In my last submission, I logged in my cards like usual with no qualifiers. When it was shipped to me, I had two cards designated with the OC qualification. This was the first time I heard of these qualifiers so I had to look them up
