PSA, scratches and grade.

If you want to be super picky grade Beckett lol and enjoy those wait times

But

Psa has a good service overall, and a pretty good track record in general, given the numbers they grade.
A 9 or 10 can have some flaws some times, there is a few grading points and factors.
People sometimes see eye to eye on condition differently

Yeah, now, thanks to some of you guys, I know that i have to expect some flaws even on 10s.
Regarding the PSA service I will take your word for it

Having graded thousands of cards with them, for the most part. They are good. And do a great job given their quantities they are dealing with.

Yes, they are human, and humans will make some mistakes, but it’s a very small margin of error.

Also, if there is any serious problems with grades, like super serious stuff, you can try reach out to psa and they can maybe replace or rectify it.

My last few subs have been pretty good, nice turnarounds and pretty consistent with things. They seem to be dealing better with the increased numbers and their newer staff have perhaps settled in. Seems better than early last year for sure. Lol

Also, not sure if you noticed. I found some Pokemon stickers on my psa box once, they are sending pokemon cards to a specific Pokemon department in psa, so I assume the Pokemon graders really are Pokemon people who know their stuff, and not baseball peeps grading non sports.

Good to know, because I have read in some threads here on e4 that PSA didn’t have pokemon experts

I don’t know for sure, just making an inference. From the stickers labels, and the fact I have friends who were offered jobs by psa for grading and research.

The other week I got a PSA 9 base Charizard from one of the OLD Psa cases. That part doesn’t matter much but there are a ton of minor scratches which does take away from the experience of looking at a Mint card.

Although I’ve hear people use plastic polish to clear up cases like this. Has anyone had experience with this stuff before?

Meguiar’s plastx+sponge+microfiber cloth (this card is mine)

Yep, small drop of plastic polish on a microfiber cloth will remove smaller scratches easily from psa cases

The answer I was looking for, thank you both!
