That’s interesting, never heard of that before. They would probably regrade my card then, the whitening is pretty bad but I’ve noticed a lot of PSA 10 radiant collection cards just have bad condition for their grade I don’t really know why.

A pretty common misconception I see online is the reholdering vs regrading.
If you submit to PSA a slab that you want re-holdered, either because it has minimal/small cracking (where it is not possible the card was affected by the cracks), just to upgrade the label style and get scans for your card, they labeld it incorrectly, or they recogonized a new error that they did not before they will not re-grade the card.
If you submit a card for a cross-grade or regrade, they will inspect the card and can change the grade of the card.
So, submitting this card for a re-holder will not change the grade, unless they think the paper has damaged the card or damage it themselves.

Hey man if this is not a risk you’re willing to take I’d just keep it as is. The crack looks very minor and can be dismissed as a welding mark by some.

That’s what I originally assumed, but seems like there’s been a lack of clarity with PSA about this so I see why there’s been some confusion. I hope this is the case!
That is crazy damage danggg. Glad it got reholdered successfully though! Do you know if they regraded the card or if they just reholdered it? It might’ve been regraded but kept the 10.
Yeah when I put my graded guard on I barely see it but it still bugs me 
Might try to trade for the same card and pay a little extra but if not I’ll probably try to look more into reholdering.
I would just send it in for a reholder. I doubt they’re even going to notice this. I can’t even see it in the pics of the front and back of the slab that you posted. This is being overthought.

I don’t think they say anything while I waited for kadabra to come back. I think your should be fine because the damage is not near the card.

Unfortunately, this is no longer true. It used to be the case that PSA’s reholder service never resulted in a regrade. However, regrading during a reholder order has been documented within the past year. See below.

Just send the card to consignment for auction, take the money, and buy a cleaner copy, especially since yours has that whitening you don’t like. There’s no hassle for you that way.
A small piece of advice if you want to follow my suggestion: delete the pictures or posts you shared if you don’t want to deal with any controversy.
Very interesting because in my personal experience, this did not happen. This easily could be a PSA 7 due to the back whiting, and they re-holdered it with no issues.
