PSA Pop report on the 1999 Japanese Intro Pack (VHS)

Hi all, just wondered whether anyone might provide a link to the pop report of the 1999 Japanese Intro Pack (Aka Video/VHS Intro pack)?

I’ve found this report, but I’m guessing I’ve got the wrong one seeing as there are only 2 items listed in it!

EDIT: found them almost as soon as I posted the thread…
Here and here for anyone else interested. Surprisingly low pop - love the artworks in this set.

I have been buying these. A sealed set was 150 1-2 months ago and they now sell for 300+. It’s already started

They’re seperated in bulbasaur and squirtle deck

Edit: Oops you beat me to it

Haha cheers anyway @muk ,

@justinmew , I’ve got a few I picked up as an “oddity” to me earlier this year - I’d heard of these back in 2011 when I got back into PTCG briefly but never bothered to pick any up because reasons. I picked up another one more recently now I’ve started to look more closely at the set.

I mean, just look at this f’ing art deco Arcanine:

Yeah definitely a lot of great art!!

Gotta agree that this is a fantastic little set. Also great time capsule with the VHS.
The unique artworks alone are worth it. Arcanine, Raichu (!), Ivysaur, Wartortle, Meowth, all really creative. If the Saur and the Stoise would’ve gotten unique artworks too, this set would be already much more expensive.

I was shocked when I bought this set in mint condition a year ago at how cheap they were going for (as opposed to other cards from that era). Maybe not anymore?

Lots of vintage Japanese promos and limited release cards are slept on. I think they are due for more of an increase for sure!

It’s definitely catching on.

Yeah the hobby-wide price increases are making both collectors and stonkers appreciate the less mainstream cards more. Collectors are appreciating the cards and stonkers are literally £appreciating£ the cards. I think generally it’s symptomatic of more people understanding that ‘older, rarer, minter = better’. Scott nearly on 20k subs?! Market manipulation!!

Hi All,

Jumping back on this thread, recently aquired both sets 40/40 but without the holo. all cards are mint+

Really struggling to find sold data.

Any help appreciated
