PSA pause all international submissions due to tariffs

I know this surprised me as well. Currently customs are treating foreign cards submitted by fanatics as imported from China, Japan etc  absolutely blew my mind.

Is that just for PSA grading?

I just submitted some graded Japanese and Korean cards to the Fantaics Vault via the store (didn’t submit anything for grading).

Also, it seems you can buy / vault withdraw from Fanatics Collect online and have it sent to the store for collection.

I’m not certain but I think so. I didn’t delve too deeply into it as I like to have all my cards in my own possession rather than in a vault abroad!

These ones are to be sold.

Although I am toying with the idea of vaulting some of my collection. Not sure though!

I have been tempted to try and sell a few of my higher end niche cards via the vault. Posting them there makes me nervous though as proving value of cards under pop 10 is near impossible

Can you send to the fanatics vault direct?

Otherwise it would have to be send to psa then send from them to fanatics inside the US which is a little silly.

If you mean graded cards, then yes, at the shop you can submit direct to the Fanatics Vault.

I did mention this early in this thread. Any international card need to be submitted vier there Canada based dealerships

The only option is DA Europe, which charges €24.99 per card?
It seems ridiculous that PSA is sabotaging business in Europe, considering there are no tariffs at the moment :skull_and_crossbones:

Note that the announcement has been from before the tariffs, but since there also hasn’t been an announcement stating an abandoning of the plans, there’s still this on the horizon for 2025: https://www.psacard.com/info/psa-expanding-into-european-and-canadian-markets

Isn’t there still a 10% tariff to most goods from europe? I know the UK struck a deal for certain sectors but most things are still tariffed.

Also, strangely enough, it seems to be the countries origin that determines the tariff. Fanatics UK arent accepting japanese or chinese cards as they will be treated with Japanese/Chinese tariffs despite being sent from the uk

The issue is that even with the suspension of tariffs in Europe, PSA has shut the door on European customers without presenting any viable solution.
In my case, even though I’m unable to make a submission, they still try to charge me daily for my Collectors Club subscription :exploding_head:

Psa setting up operations everywhere but toronto

I feel that. It was annoying to not be allowed to do a drop off submission at the Toronto show recently using our paid member accounts. Especially when you get the ā€œIt’s been a while—let’s grade your cardsā€ email soon after.

I went to the Fanatics Store in London again earlier this week.

They’re still not accepting Japanese/Chinese cards for direct PSA submissions. However, if you ask you submit to the Fanatics Collect’s Vault + Grade Service, you can submit Japanese/Chinese cards! Then you can chooses to grade with CGC, Beckitt or PSA. Must be something to do with it being an internal shipment?

Thanks to you and Jon for your updates re the Fanatics store. We were making regular subs to PSA pre-tariffs and need a solution - using a middle-man doesn’t feel comfortable at all (maybe I have trust issues?!).

When you were in the store - did they mention anything about a card limit? 10 cards just isn’t going to cut it!

I’m afraid they didn’t, sorry. I only submitted two cards!
