PSA pause all international submissions due to tariffs

Good news for you UK folks.

They have been very careful not to talk about shipping to them from elsewhere in the UK and I’m assuming that is currently not an option (though that presumably means you need to go and collect your return in person)

Quite a few UK middlemen will be nervous about this I expect. It’ll all depend on how they price it in Ā£.

If it’s anything like CGCs one in Germany, it’s still faster to sub directly.

I think most people will keep using their favourite UK middleman though.

Can confirm that the submission form works again from the UK and isn’t redirecting to the tariffs blog anymore.

Apparently only goods over $800 could be subject to tariffs so ill try sending a smaller sub over and see how it goes.

Turns out they reopened it for a live event, how infuriating!!

I asked them how I could prepare a submission and mail it while in the USA.

Not possible…So annoying they aren’t able to imagine there are people traveling into the USA and while there they can mail the submissions without any problem.

You can drop of in NY or LA

Yes somebody told me, but are there specific days? And were do I find the adress?

They never did in person drop off before, so I didn’t know about it.

But the problem stays, I can’t prepare a submission. They blocked the international accounts.

Also in Londen PSA opened an in person PSA counter inside the new Fanatics store. But for people on the Mainland EU that’s also not a real option.

I’m based in Australia as some of you may know. The middle man/ business (authorised dealer) I use here has stated they are taking subs again but it will now be broken into 2 groups for shipping. I’ll attach his fb post here that explain the process his been told to use as a business.

Are UK intermediaries still operating at all?

This reads like its open already, but I can’t find any info about prices or how to actually submit other than just ā€˜submit in person’

Sub center is. Others are starting up again soon as well

I will be going to Fanatics to drop off a submission next week. I will let you all know how the process goes. The pricing is significantly cheaper than all UK middleman services!

I have also been informed that it is done via Fanatics rather than your own psa collectors club.

Has there been any mention of Vault submissions via the Fanatics Store or is it grading only?

is it just the same price as submitting via the usual tiers (if psa were allowing it of course)?

Tell them to hurry up and accept postal submissions then if it’s miles cheaper

Very interested in how this goes, I’d much rather use this than a middleman although the in person thing is a bit of a pain as i live around a 4 hour drive away from London.

Yes please keep us updated. They don’t have a phone number and very hard to find details anywhere.

Im preparing a large sub to drop off at London Card Show next weekend but it would be nice to have Fanatics as an option as well as potentially dropping off any grail items.

So I made the trip to Fanatics!

Key points to note:

  • You cannot submit until after 12:00
  • 10 card maximum (I did manage to sweet talk them into accepting 75 as I travelled 4 hours to get there)
  • you cannot submit any japanese or Chinese cards due to the tariffs
  • with all costs included for return to the UK it’s around Ā£17 a card. If you use the fanatics collect vault it’s $14.99
  • you can send slabs from the UK to their USA based vault with no fees or tariffs
  • no auto grading, re-holder or crossover services in place yet.

Overall it was a very pleasant trip and a lovely store. The pokemon stock is lacking but it was remarkably cheap, I ended up picking up a few slabs as they were about 70% of market rate.

They plan to improve the capacity and limits soon and also open up to faster psa services/submission types.
